Thanks to everyone who commented last week.
Three commenters have not had an encounter with a scary animal. Two comments had bad experience with a large dog when they were young. One person was almost bitten by an owl at the zoo, one had a scare from a pet lizard in a pool and one had an encounter with a rattlesnake. There was also one more "yes" encounter but no specifics.
The Winner from SBB #357 comments is: #1 Linda who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the Updated (**Finally!) ARC/Review titles or (recently updated) Love and Christmas titles - all linked near the end of the post. -- [12/15/18 I am pulling out some new Christmas and Love titles to add to the Win box choices. Watch for them this week - I hope.]
**NOTE: I did post an Updated ARC and Other books for Giveaways. I have to go back and list the titles -- someday.
Please let me know your choice by completing the WINNER FORM.
This is a question from Miki: Do you think having facebook is mandatory to follow an author??
I really don't 'follow' authors except to click on their sites if it is part of a contest for entry. If I really like an author, I check on Audible, Kindle or Goodreads for their upcoming, or prior, works. So "no", facebook is not necessary in my view.

Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! The supply of questions is dwindling so share some if you think of any -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify.
Your turn to share. Miki asks: Do you think having facebook is mandatory to follow an author??
SBB Comment Winners can choose a selection from the Updated ARC and Other books, including the "Love" and Christmas titles all in one post.
a) Must be a follower.
b) Share a comment on the question above.
Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.
I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made through Saturday December 29, 2018 at 5 PM central.
I follow a couple of authors on FB because they post content I like to read and not because it's a way to know when their next book comes out.ReplyDelete
I prefer newsletters, but if an author starts to send them out too often (at least weekly) I'll unsubscribe.
Congrats to Linda!ReplyDelete
I'm the same Martha for the most part, but there are a few authors I follow not just on FB but also on Insta just because I love them so much and because they share insight into their lives! Eg. Lauren DeStefano likes to post pics of her kitty cats. I LOVE those posts! Also, her kitties are so cute so that helps!
since i had trouble with fb i'm still not at ease with it but i do click whjen it's for a contest mostlyReplyDelete
Congrats to Linda. I dont think you need FB . I will go to their websites or on Goodreads and Romance Reviews to find out about them or their news.ReplyDelete

I don't think anything should be mandatory to follow an author, especially Facebook.
I follow authors on facebook, amazon and goodreads.ReplyDelete
I follow several authors not only to hear about their book releases and giveaways, but also just because I find them to be interesting people.ReplyDelete
It's not necessary, but you do get more info if you have a FB account. I fallow all my favorite authors on FB and I also signed up to their newsletters.ReplyDelete
I'm not a fan of Facebook, so no for me.ReplyDelete
No, I only follow a few authors on facebook, yet I mostly subscribe to my favorite authors' newsletters.ReplyDelete
I do not feel it is necessary but it is an advantage.ReplyDelete
I don't follow any but now when I think of it sounds like a good plan.ReplyDelete
I prefer newslettersReplyDelete
It's totally up to you how you choose to follow anyone including authors.ReplyDelete
