Thanks to everyone who commented last week.
Seven commenters believe in love at first sight and three are open to the idea. Five believe in instant attraction but that it takes time for true love to grow. One person does not believe in love at first sight.

WEEK #313
(One Question.)
My question asks: What cover images get you to look twice??
My eyes get caught by animals of many kinds: dogs, cats, horses, birds, and dragons for starters. Also, I take a second look at clockwork/cyber creations, space, planets and spaceships. I don't like 'bodice ripper' covers.

Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! The supply of questions is dwindling so share some if you think of any -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify.
The commenters for July were: Miki, MaryP, Poetryinleaves and Natalija. Random.org chose 1 so MIKI gets a GC.
Your turn to share. My question asks: What cover images get you to look twice??
SBB Comment Winners can choose a selection from the Updated ARC and Other books, including the "Love" and Christmas titles all in one post.
SBB Rules:
a) Must be a follower.
b) Share a comment on the question above.
Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.
I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made through Saturday August 5, 2017 at 5 PM central.
Bodice ripper kind of covers always catch my eye because they represent a genre I love.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Rita. Actually it's bright colors that grab my attention first. The second is a Scottish Highlander. Love them. :). But the cover doesn't matter if it's a book by one of my favorite Authors.

Thank you Martha!
ReplyDeleteI like covers with beach, mountain or lake scenery.
I like the vintage look especially WWI and WW2 era dressing!
ReplyDeleteanimals for sure and this year since i lost my dog i seem to be bery attracted to cover with a dog in it.
ReplyDeletethat aside i love whe magical elements are ina cover too
Congrats to Rita!
ReplyDeleteFor me, the more real the cover the more it pulls me in. For example, a beautiful setting like a landscape shot, or a beautiful face or people doing something that people do everyday. Very rare to I like an ominous cover.
I love whimsical covers.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Rita!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful landscape and animals catch my interest, but some of the bodice ripper covers will catch my interest since I read that type of genre too.
Just lately covers with paintings from Old Masters make me look twice. They could be portraits or landscapes. A lost art, so to speak.
ReplyDeleteI like beautiful scenery pictures, animals, and vintage themes.
ReplyDeleteI don't like bodice ripper covers either even tho I read mostly different sub genres of romance. I do like detail & a nice combination of colours, without being garish.
ReplyDeleteI love bright and colourful covers which actually relate to the book.
ReplyDeleteLandscapes, shiny covers, animals, lots of symbols!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely cute animals, interesting designs, and lovely covers.
ReplyDeleteI like the Cozy Mystery covers they are so pretty.
ReplyDeletesomething that's not already another author's cover
ReplyDeleteI don't like the bodice ripper covers either---but I really like covers with cats, dogs, or just about any kind of animal on them. I think the cozy mystery covers are almost always eye catching and cute.
