Sharing Beyond Books #372 Comment Giveaway June 29, 2019

Hello again and Welcome back to Sharing Beyond Books, SBB.

Thanks to everyone who commented last week.
Six of us have had some problems posting reviews at Amazon, Goodreads or TBD. The other eight haven't had trouble but sometimes a delay (at Amazon).

The Winner from SBB #371 comments is: #6 LINDA who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the Updated (**Finally!) ARC/Review titles or (recently updated) Love and Christmas titles - all linked near the end of the post. -- [12/15/18 I am pulling out some new Christmas and Love titles to add to the Win box choices. I had to move the books due to the water threat in office. I will dig them out again soon.]

**NOTE: I did post an Updated ARC and Other books for Giveaways. I have to go back and list the titles -- someday.
Please let me know your choice by completing the WINNER FORM.

WEEK #372
(One Question.)

Natalija asks: Does your family support your reading habits??
I get mixed support from my family for my reading. My hubby fusses that I read too much and he threatens to burn the books in the house. After 34 years of marriage he has finally, sort of, resolved himself to it. Our daughter likes to read but, with children at home, her time is limited. Same with our son who likes to listen. I don't know why I can't convince them to gift me book (Amazon) GCs though. Fortunately my office staff honored that wish last Christmas. :-)

Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a 1/2 book choice or $2.50 towards GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! The supply of questions is dwindling so share some if you think of any -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify.
Comments for June provided by: Ashfa, Miki and Natalija who each get $2.50 credit.

Your turn to share. Natalija asks: Does your family support your reading habits??

SBB Comment Winners can choose a selection from the Updated ARC and Other books, including the "Love" and Christmas titles all in one post.

SBB Rules:
a) Must be a follower.
b) Share a comment on the question above.
Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.
I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made through Saturday July 13, 2019 at 5 PM central.

  1. Congrats to Linda. My family has mixed feelings when I first started reading and the books started piling up. But I only started reading when all the kids (7) had left the nest. So now they know it's what I love and embrace it. But I too ask for GC's when I'm asked what I want and I'm yet to get one. :) My grandson actually got me one for Amazon my last birthday.

  5. My dad was the one who instilled the reading habit in us, & the rest of my family are all avid readers too.

  6. my mother shared my books love so there wasn't any question, my father didn't like to read but didn't mind our book love. My brother like me loves to read and gifting books is often our gift choice for each other

  7. My hubby doesn't care one way or the other if I read a lot. My dogs love it when I sit and read because they can cuddle with me.

  8. My partner is completely on board with my reading habits. He occasionally buys me books, accompanies me so I can buy them myself, and on a regular basis asks me what I'm reading. So I consider myself very lucky.

  10. I hail from a family of readers. I grew up with a house full of books and visits to the library. My children are the same.

  11. Yes, they do 😊

  12. My family are not readers. I've found support in my 4 year old grandson only. Others are rather condescending!!

  13. My family do not read as much as I do, but they don't mind that I always have a book to pick up!

  14. My father sighs when he sees me reading. Especially when it's a new book. He only reads books with lots of picture depictions so yeah...

I once received a gc as a Christmas present from an uncle so that's a big yay I suppose.

I got my reading habits from my mother though so I did have some support there.

  15. My family knows that I'm always reading, and I tend to share and gift books frequently! :)
