Saturday Snapshot (April 13, 2013) My DH's Garden

I have a little more of photo zooming work in these photos. These are taken from the end of our pool deck looking to the south.
This is the farm patch that my DH cultivates.
This is why friends sometimes call him "Farmer Bob."
Tomatoes to the row with the stump, peppers straight ahead and potatoes to the right.
Note at the far end of the garden the black piece of equipment.

This is the right side with garlic along the edge
and peanuts (not growing) in the row before the potatoes.

Here to the left is the last row of corn and the banana trees on the outside.
And remember the black equipment in the distance?
This is our log splitter zoomed in.

Here is the log pile that DH has been chopping from a tree he cut down a week or so ago.
DH stays very busy!

Thanks again to all the nice people who have commented on my Saturday pictures.
I did get to visit back Friday night.

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky hosted by Alyce of At Home With Books. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

  1. A spring garden is such a delight of potential isn't it?
Here in Australia we're bringing in the harvest and bedding down for the cooler months.

  3. Wow, that's impressive -- so nice to be able to grow so much of your own food. Thanks for sharing your pictures!

  4. We are beginning to get our garden put in too - nothing as big as yours though! :) Happy Weekend!

  6. I wish our old gardens had looked that neat and tidy. I seemed to always lose the battle with weeds. That log splitter looks powerful.

  7. How wonderful! We're still covered in ice and cold here, but this makes me think of the possibilities, if Spring ever gets here!

  8. Love that garden layout! If Spring ever comes to us I'll be dreaming of a garden... covered in ice this weekend here :(

  9. I'm getting ready to put my garden it, but it is smaller than yours. That is a nice log splitter which makes it easier than using a saw to cut up a tree with. Thanks for sharing your pictures with us.

  10. What a great garden! My hubby would be so envious of your log splitter too. Every year I plan to put in a garden and every year I get as far as flowers and tomatoes. That keeps me busy enough!
