Saturday Snapshot (June 1, 2013) Growing Garden

This week I am sharing some of the growing bounty from our own garden. :-)

Our first meal from the garden was a week ago and included potatoes and garlic.
Here is a photo of the fresh picked goodies.
Here is the cooked meal.
My DH is sometimes called "One Pot Bob".

This week we had beans and green peppers.

Soon we will have corn and tomatoes.

It has been a lot of fun going out each week to photograph the progress in the garden!

Thanks to all who stop by and visit. I didn't get to visit last week so I hope to make up for it this Saturday.

A big Thank You to Alyce at Alyce of At Home With Books who has hosted this meme for a number of years. She is taking a summer hiatus at her blog and the new host will be Melissa at West Metro Mommy. Thank you to Melissa for picking up the responsibility.

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky being hosted this summer by West Metro Mommy. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

Saturday Snapshot (April 13, 2013) My DH's Garden

I have a little more of photo zooming work in these photos. These are taken from the end of our pool deck looking to the south.
This is the farm patch that my DH cultivates.
This is why friends sometimes call him "Farmer Bob."
Tomatoes to the row with the stump, peppers straight ahead and potatoes to the right.
Note at the far end of the garden the black piece of equipment.

This is the right side with garlic along the edge
and peanuts (not growing) in the row before the potatoes.

Here to the left is the last row of corn and the banana trees on the outside.
And remember the black equipment in the distance?
This is our log splitter zoomed in.

Here is the log pile that DH has been chopping from a tree he cut down a week or so ago.
DH stays very busy!

Thanks again to all the nice people who have commented on my Saturday pictures.
I did get to visit back Friday night.

The Gentlman Farmer and Blackberries Too!

I am tickled to share how I spent this beautiful Saturday morning!

First I picked blackberries in the side yard. Then I added the container to some of the veggies my DH, aka The Gentleman Farmer, had picked yesterday with our daughter and grandkids.
So here we have: blackberries, yellow squash, red peppers, zucchini, garlic and potatoes.
Here is a peek at The Garden

Photo #1: On the left is the corn, yellow squash and zucchini.
In the right side of picture #1 are tomatoes and next to them a row of peanuts.

Photo #2 On the right are garlic, potatoes,
asparagus, lettuce, carrots, radish,
sweet potatoes and watermelon.

Photo #3 Close-up
Yellow Squash and corn.

Photo #4
Close Up-
The little green fruit in the middle
is a baby watermelon.

After being in the hot sun taking pictures I headed for the pool.

On the way to the pool
I took a picture of the "manual labor"
aka my DH,
The Gentleman Farmer. :-)

So - I hope everyone else had a nice relaxing Saturday morning.
Tell me - how does your garden grow?
