Sharing Beyond Books #328 Comment Giveaway November 11, 2017

Hello again and Welcome to Sharing Beyond Books, SBB!

Thanks to everyone who commented last week. We are looking forward to a variety of movies. There were 5 votes for Hidden Figures and 5 for Murder on the Orient Express. Then several got 2 votes: The Monster Calls, Murder Between Us and Shack. Three had no votes -- not movie people.

~~~~~
The Winner from SBB #327 comments is: #9 bn100 who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the Updated (**Finally!) ARC/Review titles or (recently updated) Love and Christmas titles - all linked near the end of the post.
**NOTE: I did post an Updated ARC and Other books for Giveaways. I have to go back and list the titles -- someday.
Please let me know your choice by completing the WINNER FORM.
WEEK #328
(One Question.)
Alina asks: How do you pick the next book you want to read? Do you have a ritual??
The challenges I participate in help guide my reading: Alphabet, Audiobook, TBR and NetGalley. I start planning the end of one year for the next year by picking audio books that are TBR and NetGalley that match the Alphabet. Then I select from my NetGalley titles - trying but rarely getting to them before the release date. I queue in tours when scheduled and author review titles next. Then I fit TBRs in as I like to read 1/2 of my yearly reading in TBRs.
Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! The supply of questions is dwindling so share some if you think of any -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify.
Your turn to share. Alina asks: How do you pick the next book you want to read? Do you have a ritual??
SBB Comment Winners can choose a selection from the Updated ARC and Other books, including the "Love" and Christmas titles all in one post.
a) Must be a follower.
b) Share a comment on the question above.
Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.
I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made through Saturday November 18, 2017 at 5 PM central.
  1. Congrats, bn100!
    I don't have any rituals. It's just what I'm in a mood for.
  3. No ritual, I just choose what I feel like reading.
  4. Congrats to BN100. I don't have a ritual. If a favorite Author has a new boo out then I read that. Otherwise I try to read from my TRL but haven't been disciplined enough since my pile doesn't seem to lesson.
    I don't have a ritual that I follow. Normally I choose what I'm going to read by if I'm participating in a challenge of some kind or doing a review for an author. Otherwise I read from my TBR pile which consists of books from my favorite authors besides books I find that sound interesting to me. I also will read something that a friend will suggest that I try.
  9. I just look at my TBR books and pick the one that most appeals to me that day.
  10. I try to alternate the genres so that I get some variety in my reading.
  12. I tend to select books on my reading wish list...depending on my library book selections, books that I've won or purchased, or additional recommendations that I discover.
  13. I just check out my pile and pull one out.
  14. I'm a mood reader as well and sometimes is so frigging hard to decide what to pick! That's why I love reading series, I binge on them and no decisions needed :D
    I just go through my pile and pick one.
  16. Congrats bn100!
    Depends, if I am currently reading a book that's part of a short series and I have all the books in the series already, then...MARATHON!!
    Otherwise, if I am really into that genre at the moment I will pick up another book from that genre that's in my TBR.
    If I'm bored with the genre, or the current book made me sad, I'll do a total switch from my TBR
