Sharing Beyond Books #112 Comment Giveaway August 10, 2013

Hello again on Saturday night and Welcome to SBB, Sharing Beyond Books.

I had another good week even though it was busy. It was a good busy. I got to lead a real estate training class so that took a number of hours in preparation. The rest of the schedule was light enough to allow that without too much extra stress.

Only four of us have met other bloggers in person and that included Bookishqueen who knows her blogger sister. But most of us would like to meet other bloggers. :-)

Most of you use larger purses and a handful do use backpacks. Bookishqueen has a tiny  purse and Linda K doesn't use a bag except when going to the zoo when she uses a backpack. A couple of you have "in between" size purses to carry 'enough.'  Mary P has one big enough for umbrella, water and book!!

Thank you to all who shared last week.
The Winner from SBB #111 comments is: #20 Linda T who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the ARC/Review titles, Christmas titles or Love titles - all linked near the end of the post.  Please let me know your choice by completing the (new) WINNER FORM.

WEEK #112
Q1. (This fits for getting ready to return to school.) Mamabunny asks: Back to school means summer is almost over (in my area) name one last hoorah! you would like to have before autumn arrives??
A: My kids are all beyond school age and seeing their own little ones back to school. But the summer break will be over in a week here. I'm not really thinking of a last hoorah although I would really like two things.  1. I wished I'd used the pool more this summer. I'd blame it on all the rain but it was really just me.  2. I think I am ready soon for another mini vacation--. cruise or motorcoach-- but away from the office. :-)

Q2.  My turn for a bookish Question this time: Have you ever thought of a pen name you would like to use if you were to write??
A: Many years ago (and far, far away... oh I digress) I fixated on a name I really liked. It is Eustacia with Stacy as a nickname.  Never thought about a last name and I don't really plan to use a pen name but I still like Eustacia.

Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! We are getting low on questions so hopefully you will send more in -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify to use.

Your turn to share:

Q1. Mamabunny asks: Back to school means summer is almost over (in my area) name one last hoorah! you would like to have before autumn arrives??

Q2.  My bookish Question: Have you ever thought of a pen name you would like to use if you were to write??

  1. Congrats Linda T.
A last Hoorah would be to attend a few more street fairs and Festivals. I love the atmosphere and happiness at these events. The food is great too. :) And there are so many this time of year.

I've never thought of a pen name at all I'm afraid. In my youth I thought I'd love to write but never went further then that.

  2. 1. my kids are older too so no last hurrah although we are going to Orlando in September. I wish I'd used our pool more too - very cool summer for us

    2. No writer name - can't think of any

  3. 1. My husband and I are going to the lake Labor Day weekend. We also want to go to Six Flags one last time before Fright Fest.
    2. If I were to write romances (which I doubt I ever would), my name would be Erica Kaye.

  4. 1)a little vacation i would love to leave for a few day to rest and have a real break ( it's years since went anywhere!!)

    2) not really thought of that or i guess i would use my name ion the roleplaying game since i'm really used to it

  5. 2) I had thought of a pen name, but I would probably become sick of it eventually. I also want to be known by my real name

  6. 1) I would like to just have a week off, I have been working, and now I will now work and go to school. :(.

2)Jean Spurrier is what I have always thought (my middle and my mom's maiden) but Spurrier might be to long...

  7. Answer to Q#1: Since I'm retired I don't do any "hurrahs" until AFTER school starts 'cause then it's less crowded in places and on roadways. Fall is my fave time of year 'cause it's cooler and less crowded and that is when I'd like to take a road trip to see one of our National Parks.
Answer to Q#2: If I were to become a writer, I would use the pen name "JJ." Just "JJ," nothing else. :-)

  8. We just got back from camping for the weekend, and want to do one more camping trip this summer.

I've never considered pen names as I've never wanted to be a writer.

  9. 1. I'm going to visit relatives in So. California.

    2. No

  10. 1 - I'm going on vacation labor day week - I don't have to deal with school schedules right now

2 - I always liked my mothers maiden name 'Jordan' but several authors are already using that

  11. Q1. I would just like for the weather to be warm the rest of the summer. We haven't had our usual weather here!

Q2. I haven't ever thought of a pen name. Hmm. I think I would go with Enna Ekoorb. (My middle name backward and my first name backward)

  12. Q1. I've got my sights firmly set on Spring arriving. Though we have had a very warm-ish Winter by comparison. Usually we herald the end of Summer with one last trip to the beach.

Q2. It would be fun to create a pen name. I would go back through the family history I think & pick and choose what I like.

  13. 1. I plan to visit the beach several more times before autumn arrives. :)

    2. When I was younger, I thought of a pen name.

  14. 1. Wittle down my TBR pile.

    2. No.

  15. 1. No big plans, I can't wait for autumn!!
    2. No I've never thought of any.

  16. 1. We only have one week left and it is filled with dance classes starting back up and meet the teacher, etc. We have already had our last hoorah with our vacation this year so no time.

    2. Since I am not a writer I have never thought of one.

  17. I think our big hoorah before autumn sets in will be getting the winter hay for the beasties, emptying the garden of edibles, and getting firewood. Those all sound like chores, don't they? Perhaps we'll squeeze in a movie.

I had some silly pennames in grade school but I can't recall them now.

  18. Q1. Holiday! Or maybe read a few more books?

Q2. Yes. Unfortunately I have not written a word yet. And I'd probably like to be anonymous, from my real name so I better not put it here just in case things do materialize. Haha....

  19. Q1. Enjoy my last week to myself before going back to teaching.

    Q2. Tiger Rose
