Sunday Post August 23, 2015/It's Monday! What are You Reading? Plus Mailbox Monday August 24, 2015

I am linking with Sunday Post at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's Monday! at Book Journey may be active again in September.

What Are You Reading, is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.

I am finishing a second round of antibotics and hoping that I will finally feel all better.

We had family here this week so I had to fit reading and computer time in late at night or early in the mornings.

I finished two good books: one ebook, and one audio. I posted three reviews and posted the usual memes.

I only visited a few spots last week so I have to make a better effort this week.
Thanks as always to all the nice people who visit me.

These were last week's posts:
  • Audible Review: 14 by Peter Clines; Sci Fi; my rating 4.5.
  • Book Review: Dark Horse by Michelle Diener; Sci Fi, Space Opera; my rating 5.0.

Forced to live as a servant in her enemy’s home, Maia flees her captors and begins a perilous quest to save her people. To survive, she must use magic she has learned in secret—despite the fact that women are forbidden to control it. Hunted by enemies at every turn, Maia realizes that danger lurks within her, too. Her powers threaten to steal not only her consciousness but also her sense of right and wrong. Can she set herself free and save the realm she loves—even if her people have forgotten her? In bestselling author Jeff Wheeler’s fantasy epic, the answer may be only the beginning to Maia’s journey throughout the mystical land of Muirwood.

June 1, 2015- I am still up to date on Bible reading and greatly enjoying the readings-- It seems my eyes are open to more details and meaning.. I am reading The One Year Bible again along with my husband and others from our church. I am also listening to the companion commentary online.

I posted three reviews last week which left two plus two new for this week. I hope I will be able to catch up this week.
I finished one and am reading two books from NetGalley. I added one new book so my waiting shelf has five NetGalley titles.
I want to pull in more TBRs soon.

Welcome to Mailbox Monday.

Mailbox Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week and explore great book blogs.  This Meme started with Marcia at A Girl and Her Books (fka The Printed Page) and after a tour of hosts has returned to its permanent home at Mailbox Monday. Thanks to the ladies sharing hosting duties: Leslie of Under My Apple Tree, Serena of Savvy Verse & Wit and Vicki of I'd Rather Be at the Beach. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

I received an audiobook for review and added one new NetGalley title this past week.
I ; I selected my two Audible choices and purchased one Kindle book.
I picked up a free Audible title as well as adding more free kindle titles to my library.

(I still have many author requests, old and new ones, to consider and reply to.)

Are your mailbox and TBR piles blooming?

  11. Hi Martha,

Wow! I don't know how you managed to fit in so much reading and blogging with all your family committments and you not feeling 100% either! ... As much as you seem to love all the hustle and bustle, I hope that things have quietened down just a little this week and that you can concentrate on getting well again :)

I do try to keep on top of author requests, even if I can only offer a couple of supporting promotional posts, rather than a full review. However I must admit that it is difficult when blogging is very much an evening hobby and I really hate turning an author away!

Congratulations on your win and the double 'Sokoloff' snaffle sounds great, even though I wouldn't want it on audiobook. I am marking this series to read, so thanks for bringing it to my attention
