Sharing Beyond Books #346 Comment Giveaway June 16, 2018

Hello again and Welcome to Sharing Beyond Books, SBB!

I made it through the first day and a half of helping with a 5 year old and twins under 2 years. A mix of joy and frustration. :-)

Thanks to everyone who commented last week.
Two commenters do belong to street teams - one to 4, the other to 2. One person participates in what sounds like an ARC team and two of us do reviews for authors we like whom we have read before. One used to belong to a street team but no longer. That leaves nine of us who do not belong to a team some because they are too busy and at least one who has heard negative things about author bullying. That is too bad for sure.

The Winner from SBB #345 comments is: #3 MARY P who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the Updated (**Finally!) ARC/Review titles or (recently updated) Love and Christmas titles - all linked near the end of the post.

**NOTE: I did post an Updated ARC and Other books for Giveaways. I have to go back and list the titles -- someday.
Please let me know your choice by completing the WINNER FORM.

WEEK #346
(One Question.)

Natalija asks: Have you ever put yourself on a book buying ban??
I have for short times. A couple of years back, and for 2 or 3 years, I participated in the Triple Dog Dare Challenge which was no book purchasing from January to April. The only books I allowed myself to acquire during those three month periods were Audible Credits (on subscription) and occasional review books. I still try to watch my purchases during that first quarter but it is no longer a challenge so it is not a committed ban.

Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! The supply of questions is dwindling so share some if you think of any -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify.

Your turn to share. Natalija asks: Have you ever put yourself on a book buying ban??

SBB Comment Winners can choose a selection from the Updated ARC and Other books, including the "Love" and Christmas titles all in one post.

SBB Rules:
a) Must be a follower.
b) Share a comment on the question above.
Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.
I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made through Saturday June 30, 2018 at 5 PM central.

Not really... Though when I don't want to spend money on books I try to stay of Goodreads so I don't get ideas :D

  9. Congrats, Mary P!

I always look for bargains and offers, therefore I haven't put myself on a book buying ban because of the financial reasons, although I do try to buy less paperbacks simply because I have no space for them.

I couldn't ban myself from the one piece of happiness I sometimes get... no way.

  13. I put myself on a ban over four years ago. Not bought a book since. It was mainly because of space and we moved from a house to an apartment.

  14. Not really, although I try to only buy during sales. I have a pretty good leash on myself.
