Sunday Words of Encouragement October 11, 2009

We missed regular service this morning as we were away for our daughter's wedding.

This video has beautiful pictures from God's creation with a wonderful song!

Here is a beautiful blessing for marriage:

Apache Wedding Blessing

Now you will feel no rain
For each of you will be shelter to the other.
Now each of you will feel no cold
For each of you will be warmth to the other.
Now there is no loneliness for you
For each of you will be companion to the other.
Now you are two persons
But there is one life before you.
Go now to your dwelling place to enter into the days of your togetherness
And may your days be good and long upon the earth.

  1. Love the Apache Wedding Blessing! I am 1/16th Cherokee on my father's side, so this kind of thing truly interests me.

  2. Hi Dee! My new son-in-law is a descendant from Cherokee and Seminole Indians. But when I went looking for a nice blessing this one was so beautiful it seemed just right!
