Sharing Beyond Books #193 Comment Giveaway March 7, 2015

Hello again on Saturday night and Welcome to Sharing Beyond Books, SBB!

I guess many visitors got hit with another cold patch the end of this week. I am sure we are all hoping it will be the last before spring comes in. I cleared off a lot on my desk and I'm looking forward to next week in San Antonio.  BTW -- DON"T FORGET TO SPRING FORWARD TONIGHT (Saturday) for those on day light savings time.

Thanks to everyone who commented during the short time this week.

A bare majority of us (11) have participated in some treasure hunt or scavenger hunt. The other 10 have not but half of those think it would be fun. Nrlymrtl shared an "oops" scavenger hunt that ended up more a prank. Several mentioned book/author scavenger hunts and Sue won a cozy mystery through one. :-)

The Winner from SBB #192 comments is: #18 Bube (lucky first time win!) who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the Updated ARC/Review titles or (not yet updated) Love titles - all linked near the end of the post. I'm hoping to update the book choices this week. Please let me know your choice by completing the (new) WINNER FORM.

WEEK #193 (One Question.)

Q1. Hedgehogi Tearsa asks: Do you love to read more in the summer or winter months??
A: There is no difference for me. I love to read every month as much as I can. My reading this year is running just a bit over three books a week which is comfortable for reading and preparing reviews.

Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! We still have a supply of questions but from the same people so hopefully others will send more in -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify to use.

Your turn to share:

Q1. Hedgehogi Tearsa asks: Do you love to read more in the summer or winter months??

SBB Comment Winners can choose a selection from the  Valentine and "Love" books or the February 2015 Newly Updated ARC/Review List. (My daughter pulled several of the Christmas titles to give with gift bags we made up for the nursing homes. I still have to go back and update that list with what is left and a few new titles to add.)

SBB Rules:
a) Must be a follower.
b) Share a comment on either of the two questions above.
Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.
I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made through Saturday March 14, 2015 at 5 PM  central.

  1. There is not different for me. I love reading and I do as much as I can around work. The only thing that changes for me is how many hours I'm working a day and a lot of time Summer and early Fall are the busiest time for the factory that I work at. During the busiest times, I don't get to read as much.

  4. The seasons make no difference to my reading. It's just more time I need in general.

  5. It doesn't matter the season for me. I read everyday no matter the time of year.
    Congrats to the winner.

  6. I did something because my comment is gone. Anyway, it doesn't matter what the season is because I read everyday no matter what time of year it is. Congrats to the winner.

  7. Do you have a favorite genre? I'm usually drawn to mysteries but I will read about anything.

  8. I read the same amount all year long.

  9. I love to read no matter the season. However, during the summer & fall, I find I do more audiobooks than eyeball reading simply because there are so many things to accomplish on the farm, in the kitchen, with the weaving business, etc.

  10. Congrats to the winner!
I read about the same all year long.

  11. I don't have a favorite time but I tend to read the most during the summer when I'm floating around the pool - it's my relaxation place

  12. Even though I enjoy reading anytime during the year, I do tend to read a little more in the winter. In winter I like to hibernate with a good book. During the summer there are many outdoor activities to enjoy, so I read a little less.

  13. I don't have a preference - on really hot summer days it's good to sit guietly and read with a cool drink by my side, and on snowy cold winter days it's nice to cuddle under a blanket & read.

  14. I read more in the winter. I have a lot of outside projects I work on during the summer and this cuts down on my reading time.

  15. I live in the tropics & don't get the 4 seasons. Anytime is a good time to read.

  16. I'm more of a winter reader--I'm too busy on the golf course in the summer.
