Yikes - it's Saturday and I've had a long day. Almost didn't get to this.
Thanks to everyone who commented last week.
Eight out of 12 people acknowledge that they sometimes change their mind about a book based on reviews. Most could not remember a specific book. Alyn chose Cruel Beauty based on reviews but hasn't read it yet. nrlymrtl has selected retellings of classics based on reviews. Four commenters have never changed their mind due to a review.

The Winner from SBB #150 comments is: #3 nrlymrtl who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the ARC/Review titles, Christmas titles or Love titles - all linked near the end of the post. Please let me know your choice by completing the (new) WINNER FORM.
WEEK #151 (One Question.)
Q1. Miki asks: Could you choose your house depending or the existence or room for bookshelves, a library??
A: This is a 'sweet' question. My answer is "yes'. At least two of the homes we have bought had built in book shelves.
Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! We still have a supply of questions but from the same people so hopefully others will send more in -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify to use.
Your turn to share:

ReplyDeleteoh my!! such selves and secret room? definitively a " coup de coeur" not sure i could hope to find something like that in my country when it would be time to look for a house. but i definitively want at least room/place to built one if there isn't any
ReplyDeleteI'd definitely want space for my bookshelves!
ReplyDeleteWe've only bought one house, and that was directly out of college. And yes, the house has lots and lots of space for book shelves. The house came with 1 half shelf built in. We had to buy and make the rest.
ReplyDeleteGreat question. My answer is yes. My husband is always talking about moving, I told him make sure the new house has an extra room for my bookcases. lol
ReplyDeleteCongrats winner!
ReplyDeleteYes, a room/space for my bookshelves is a must have in my future home. I'd love to have my own personal library and reading room would be prefect. Thank you! :)

ReplyDeleteI've already thought about when I move to a different home that I'll want to be able to have many more bookshelves - especially built in ones
ReplyDeleteNo, but I would just take all my bookcases.
ReplyDeleteMy house right now has no shelves at all. My next one has to have room for my books!! And to answer the question, yes, I would choose my house for the bookshelves! Right now I am fine with using my small cheap shelf from WalMart.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't base my house on whether it had shelves or not. I'm the only reader in my house so more than likely a new house wouldn't have shelves built it
ReplyDeleteYes I could. The first place my husband and I bought had enough rooms that I was planning on making one into a Library, but we moved out of state. I definitely need a place to have bookshelves if it doesn't have a room to use as a library,
ReplyDeleteI would definitely want a place to keep my books.

I have turned my guest room into a library, thanks to five shelving units we bought from Borders when they went out of business.
ReplyDeleteNo, but we always have extra space for books. :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! I would love to choose a house based on its capacity to hold books ;)
ReplyDeleteHaven't gotten the chance to have built-in shelves yet but I want that in the future for sure. And a really big one!
ReplyDeleteYes I could!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
I would love to buy a house with built in bookshelves and a really nice easy chair to go in that room.
