It's Monday! What are You Reading? May 26, 2014

This meme starts at Book Journey!

What Are You Reading, is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.

Another semi-busy week and we were sorry to see our kids fly out to there new base.
I received the new computer and switch but now have to find a time to install them into the system.
I enjoyed my reading, finishing three books. I posted two reviews and the usual memes. :-)

I visited a little early in the week but didn't get back later.
Thanks as always to all the nice people who visit me.

Where Dreams Are Born (Angelo's Hearth)
by M.L. Buchman
I am loving this and suspect I will be sad when it is over.
Received as part of the Romance books from StoryBundle
Book Description
Publication Date: November 7, 2013
One calendar. Twelve lighthouses. Two hearts.
Cassidy Knowles stands on the wind-torn bluff and clutches the calendar of lighthouses. The last gift from her father, with a dozen letters for a final year-long journey “together.” From vineyard roots, Cassidy has climbed up the food-and-wine critic ladder, leaving her rural roots far behind.
Russell Davis, #28 on the latest “most eligible” list, the last guy on the planet Cassidy wants. Fine with him. He has no desire for the driven, urban-fashionista, never-touch-nature Cassidy Knowles. He sets his dream by a calendar of lighthouses. The genesis of a sailing a journey. A journey that keeps leading him to the last woman he’d ever want.
Where can two hearts chart the same course? In the warmth around Angelo’s Hearth.

The Crossing, Last Cavaliers Series #1
by Gilbert Morris
This is our Ladies' Book Club read for June 7.
Product Description
In the years leading up to the Civil War, widower Daniel Tremayne leaves his wife's Cheyenne family and returns to the Virginia Amish settlement where he grew up. He joins the church and remarries, but his son Yancy has trouble conforming to civilized life and the rules of the church. He continues roaming the woods and hunting. When the war begins, he jumps into the fray, despite the community's pacifism. He is soon a lieutenant under General Stonewall Jackson. When Yancy rescues a Union soldier at Bull Run, he meets the man's sister, Lorena. Will Yancy finally find a home for his heart?

I will also probably start another ebook but haven't decided which.

I am still up to date on my daily Bible reading. I have disciplined myself each morning to read my Bible passage before I pick up print, Kindle or mp3. I am really enjoying the reading.

Line Edits: Slight delay as we have staff changes. We are now finalizing formatting for two ebook re-releases, as well as working on two non-fiction releases and a print release.

  1. I did my first review book for a book tour and was quite pleased! Having a second one coming up early June. Am new to this so was happy that I could participate.

  2. I've had the Iron Druid chronicles recommended to me so I will definetly watch for your review. I've never read Earth Abides but it sounds very interesting, I may look into that. Happy reading this week!

  3. I enjoyed The Escape too. Have a great week.

  4. I will look forward to the Mary Balogh at some time in the future, I still have her Mistress series to listen to thought first. Have a great week.

  5. I've not read Earth Abides either but it does sound awesome. Escape is on my TBR mountain. Have a great week and happy reading :)

  6. I think my balance is going to shift a bit more to books I own in June. I have so many choices that I have been setting aside for review books. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  7. 'Thunder Mountain' sounds like a really interesting book! I always seem to have more books for review as from my TBR list as well, which is a bit frustrating at times! Thanks for sharing :) I hope you enjoy all of them!
    My Monday posts

  8. I have just started reading The Third Victim by Lisa Gardner, storyline is similar to the Columbine shootings all over again.
