Sharing Beyond Books #363 Comment Giveaway February 23, 2019

Hello again and Welcome back to Sharing Beyond Books, SBB.

Thanks to everyone who commented last week.
Thirteen of us do give books for Christmas, birthdays or other holidays. Six of those who give gifts mentioned family specifically. One of the four who don't give books gives Gift Cards hoping the recipients will buy books they like. Another notes that her family members want cash. And I smiled at Sue's answer: "The only books I get for holidays are the ones I buy for myself." That is always nice too. :-)

The Winner from SBB #362 comments is: #13 BN100 who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the Updated (**Finally!) ARC/Review titles or (recently updated) Love and Christmas titles - all linked near the end of the post. -- [12/15/18 I am pulling out some new Christmas and Love titles to add to the Win box choices. I had to move the books due to the water threat in office. I will dig them out again soon.]

**NOTE: I did post an Updated ARC and Other books for Giveaways. I have to go back and list the titles -- someday.
Please let me know your choice by completing the WINNER FORM.

WEEK #363
(One Question.)

Ashfa asks: Do you ever write in the margins of your books??
Rarely do I write in the margins. When I do, it is my Bible, a study guide or reference book that I own and plan to reuse. The image below isn't unlike mine with different color highlights for different years of reading.

Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! The supply of questions is dwindling so share some if you think of any -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify.
February questions were supplied by St. James and Ashfa who each get 1/2 book or $2.50 credit.

Your turn to share. Ashfa asks: Do you ever write in the margins of your books??

SBB Comment Winners can choose a selection from the Updated ARC and Other books, including the "Love" and Christmas titles all in one post.

SBB Rules:
a) Must be a follower.
b) Share a comment on the question above.
Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.
I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made through Saturday March 9, 2019 at 5 PM central.

  1. Absolutely NOT!!! I don't mind buying used books with cracked spines or yellow pages, but they must be clean of any writings.

  2. Only school books when I was still schooling. Never storybooks even then.

  3. No, I would never write in my books. When I finish reading them they look brand new. I also always use a bookmark and would never bend the pages.

I think of margin writing in books as book assault and would never.... it's a great way of ruining a book.
