Helllloooo all! :-) I got through my week and my appeal but the stress helped weaken me and I caught a cold. So far not the flu - Thank goodness! But still I am ready to crawl to bed now.
Thank you to all who shared last week.
Five of us haven't had a series fizzle. A couple named the same series and some of you keep reading even though you might not be as enthralled as when it started. :-) And then there are those long series that sometimes we give up on or just keep plugging on as we can.
It's wonderful to know that seven of you do make crafty items. A couple used to and some hope to in the future. I'm glad my daughter is doing crafts with her kids. :-)

WEEK #84 Questions
Q1. Marjorie asks: Do you have a tattoo??
A: No. Don't really believe in them although some are quite nice. My daughter has a small one on her ankle - that she got without our permission. :-) The article with the picture below asks if you would "wear your love of books." BUT - take a look at all the designs at this site.

Q2. My Question this week: Do you like and/or participate in book scavenger hunts??
A: I actually love scavenger hunts if they don't get too big. Twelve sites is good 30 maybe too many. This question is relevant as I will be a scavenger stop in February. :-)

Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! I STILL HAVE A GROUP OF QUESTIONS AVAILABLE BUT THEY ARE FROM ABOUT FOUR PEOPLE SO SOME OF YOU MAY WANT TO ADD A QUESTION OR TWO! We can always use fresh questions. January questions were shared by FH&CT, Elizabeth, Carol L and Marjorie. The Winner is #2 Elizabeth.
Your turn to share:
1. Marjorie asks: Do you have a tattoo??
2. My Book Question this week: Do you like/participate in book scavenger hunts??
SBB Comment Winners can choose a selection from the remaining Valentine and "Love" books (4 left) or the new Christmas Giveaway Books. Also I have added the Updated ARC/Review List now.
SBB Rules:

b) Share a comment on any (or all) of the two/three questions above.
Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.
I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made by Friday, February 1, 2013 at 10 PM central.
1. No.
ReplyDelete2. No. Too much work!
1. No tattoo for me, though I must admit that bookish one does look kinda neat.
ReplyDelete2. Well, so far I never participated in a scavenger hunt, but one that involves books? Sounds like something I'd love!
Thank you a lot!!!
ReplyDeletePlease take care of you, we don't mind waiting for the lists to be updated so rest in warm envirroment and get better that's what we prefer
1) i don't have a tatoo and i don't want one. i'm not at ease with that yes some can be cute but for me to like them they must be small easily hidden and significant. Putting the name of boyfriend and then breaking up having to change etc i think that stupid
2) i've participated in scavenger hunt but not a lot. It could be 30stops but then we must have the time to do it not only 24h like sometimes even more if we have a lot to read to get the answers. It's a great way to discover new authors too so i think i can say i love them
Congrats to the winner..
ReplyDeleteI don't have a Tattoo. My daughter also got an ankle tattoo of a small Bear without out knowledge a few years back.
I enjoy Scavenger hunts but like you I get burned out if they are too long. I end up quitting.

ReplyDelete2. I love book scavenger hunts. I used to do them all of the time until my work schedule changed. Lately I have been doing the smaller scavenger hunts.

1. No. I am scared of needles.
ReplyDelete2. No. I would love to, but I am just too busy.
I have a pegasus tattoo on my back and I don't do scavenger hunts. Thanks for the giveaway. Tore923@aol.com
ReplyDeleteMy man and I had our ring fingers tattooed on our 9th wedding anniversary. kiss kiss - too cute, I know.
ReplyDeleteI have never participated in a book scavenger hunt....but could probably be persuaded to do so ;)
I follow via email.
ReplyDelete1. No, I do not have a tattoo, though I've thought of getting one.
2. I do like to participate in book scavenger hunts as long as they're not outrageously long and I like when there's more than one prize. Like have a grand prize and a few prizes you can win on each site, etc. It makes it funner if you have multiple chances to win, and you have to find them.

1. no
ReplyDelete2. don't really like them
I have the permanent eyeliner that I got done in about 1994. Fortunately, it's still there since I don't wear makeup. That's the only tattooing I have ever had done.
ReplyDeleteI do the occasional scavenger hunt depending on how long and involved it is. I don't like the tedious ones. I have no patience.

Thank you for sharing your comment on my book review on Nora Robert's "The Blue Dahlia". I like reading your blog.
ReplyDelete1. No, but under the right circumstances, if I found a small one that I really liked I might go for it.
ReplyDelete2. I've done a few, but they do take some hours to do and most offer a lot of eBooks which I'm not interested in since I don't have an eReader
1. No tattoos here. I don't mind them on others, but I have never felt the need.
ReplyDelete2. I sometimes participate in scavenger hunts. If I have the time they can be a lot of fun. If I'm short on time they can just be frustrating. So, before I begin I work out if I can complete it or not.
I don't have one now, but I want to get one of an elephant on my inner wrist. I have a goal I need to accomplish first, in order to earn it though.
ReplyDeleteNo, they tend to involve too much work.
1. No.
ReplyDelete2. Yes I do sometimes, they can be alot of fun!
No I don't have a tattoo & I doubt I'd ever get one.
ReplyDeleteThey can be quite fun if there aren't too many sites involved.

1. No tattoo for me...doubt I will ever get one.
ReplyDelete2. I rarely participate in scavenger hunts...if I do they are the small ones.
1. Some are real pretty but I don't believe in doing that.
ReplyDelete2. Tried taking part in one a few weeks ago. Two sites were SO DIFFICULT that I just gave up. It was taking WAY too much time. But it can be quite fun when it isn't.
Thanks Martha!
1. no tattoo for me.
ReplyDelete2. so far, only once :) i participated in Scavenger hunts..that's because, it was only a small one. but if it's too big..i don't think so..
1) I have 7 tattoos, though they're all pretty much hidden and can't be seen while I'm at work. I'd love to get a tattoo to show my love of reading.
ReplyDelete2) Well, I've tried to participate in a couple. It is fun as long as there are not too many different stops. Also, some of the sites weren't set up correctly and it was so hard to find what I needed to find...I ended up giving up. They can be fun as long as they're done well. :)
Thank you! :)

I love tattoos! I got my first tattoo when I was 14. lol I was a bit of a wild child and had my friend give me a tattoo on a whim. It turned out awful! I actually got away with it for a year by telling my parents I drew it on every day. Eventually, I got caught and was in big trouble but the punishment was on me. I was stuck with the ugly thing until I turned 18. I can laugh at it now, anytime I see it in picutes. It was ugly! I had it covered on the day I turned 18. I now have 4 tattoos, and if they weren't so expensive and didn't hurt, I would have plenty more. I have planse for about 7 more. My husband has several and I think they are very attractive and it's one of the things that caught my eye when I first met him. Tattoos can be sexy if done respectable and in proper places. I like having the option of being able to hide mine
ReplyDeleteI try to participate. I've done a couple, but if there are too many stops or it requires me to check in daily, I usually forget and come back or remember to come back when it's over. I am somewhat sporadic with my giveaways and blog stops. Sometimes I am on top of things and sometimes life get's busy and my kids come first
This is a brilliant blog! I'm very happy with the comments!.. best review sites
