Sharing Beyond Books #11 August 27, 2011

Saturday night again! Thanks for your comments this past week.
I really enjoyed the shared comments regarding genres.  Most of us have been surprised by trying a new genre. I think we need to convince Louisa to try at least one nonfiction and make her pleasantly surprised. :-) Maybe we can give her recommendations... like the Get Er Done title I reviewed Friday.

Most of us try not to read the same genres at the same time; many of us do them in a row because they are part of our review queues.
Also most of us who write reviews do not compare books in our reviews. But Ricki had really good points about comparing newer reads to classic books.

The Winner from SBB #10 comments is: #14 Aik Aik is overseas so I image she will pick GC or PayPall Credit. Please let me know your choice by completing the WINNER FORM.

WEEK #11 Questions
I was backing down to two questions but sometimes the questions come in three like last week and again this week. :-)

Q1.  I saw this question at Mz Sazzy Angel's TGIF and thought it was a good one for us - Thanks Angelica! Which genre, authors, or particular books do you think people associate with your reading style?
A:  Hmmm - I'm pretty eclectic so I hope people associate me with variety although I probably do a lot of romance.  You can tell me truly - what do you associate me with?

Q2.  Mariska asks the second question this week:  Do you suffer from any phobias? How do you cope with it?
No - I don't have any real phobia's. This question came up at good timing since I just finished The Vampire Next Door where the heroine suffers from agoraphobia.

Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask.  Input suggestions in this Suggested Question FormAt the end of each month I will draw from the suggestions I used the month before and that person will get a book choice or GC.  FOR AUGUST THE suggestions were offered by Winnie, Mariska, Winnie and Mariska. Random.org selected #2 so Mariska gets to pick a book or GC.

Your turn to share:
1. What genre, authors or particular books do people associate with your reading style? (Part 2 - what do you associate with me? :-)
2. Do you have any phobias? How do you cope with it?

SBB Comment Winners can choose a selection from the remaining  Valentine and "Love" books or the remaining Christmas Giveaway Books - there are still about 17 books available plus 3 left in the Summer titles to choose from.
