January 2013 MBS Flash Giveaway

It's time for my first 2013 FLASH GIVEAWAY! I have been trying to find a date to post this that wasn't during one of the Giveaway Hops because this gives my REGULAR followers more of a chance - as you well deserve! :-) I am surprised to see the GFC numbers continue to rise but I know I have about 25-40 of you who really visit regularly and these Flash Giveaways are a way to THANK YOU for participating at my blog.

Elizabeth recommended I read The Days Of Summer by Jill Barnett.  I have enjoyed several historicals by Ms. Barnett and will be interested to read this contemporary.

Miki picked  Summer's Crossing (The Iron Fey) as my read which is the book that got the most recommendations at 9.  Oddly the next popular pick was Heating Up the Kitchen: Recipes with Love from Lucky Harbor.  Do you guys really read cookbooks?   

So - I will read Summer's Crossing first because it is short, 51 pages, and I can squeeze it in better. :-)
Then I will read The Days of Summer.

It's time for a Holiday FLASH GIVEAWAY! (Besides- I didn't get a review written tonight as I was out for a Christmas party and am ready to head for bed.)

These calendars I picked up during our Scandanavian cruise. The dog and cat are not from a country - I just liked them. :-) The three to the left are from Dublin: The Book of Kells (illustrated images from the Gospels); Scenic Views of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Maud Lewis is a Canadian Folk Artist and I picked these up in Nova Scotia. I only have one left as I have already given one as a gift.
