Sharing Beyond Books #125 Comment Giveaway 11/9/13

Hello again on Saturday night and Welcome to SBB, Sharing Beyond Books.

Moving along in November! Happy Day! I am having minimal discomfort and am pretty much back to work. I am still trying to be careful with my arm and trying to go to bed a little earlier for rest. :-)

There were only one or two with definite beauty routines which was a little surprising! Most of you have no beauty routine or minimal. But many of us are sure to use moisturizer.

I was also surprised that few of you keep lists of your wins. Many of you used to keep lists and many keep track to make sure you get the book wins. You sort of have to have some list or folder if you are going to track. :-)

Thank you to all who shared last week.

The Winner from SBB #124 comments is: #16 bn100 who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the ARC/Review titles, Christmas titles or Love titles - all linked near the end of the post.  Please let me know your choice by completing the (new) WINNER FORM.

WEEK #125

Q1. MaryP asks: Have you moved around during your life, or do you still live in your home town??
A: I was born in Pennsylvania where we lived in two places. We moved to Florida when I was 11. Before I went to college our family lived in two houses; then my parents divorced to add two more homes. Since college there have been at least nine moves/homes.

Q2. My bookish Question this week: Have you ever used a book as a hiding place??
A: I have lost papers in books on occasion but, no, I have not used one as a hiding place.  But I love the idea!

Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! We are getting low on questions so hopefully you will send more in -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify to use.

Your turn to share:

  3. I move all the time, usually once a year. I'm pretty sure I've lived in 11 houses in the last 10 years. I'd love to find a place I love enough to stay for a few years at least.

I've never hidden anything in books before.

  5. I haven't moved from my hometown yet.

I have never really thought of books as a hiding place but it does look really cool and clever.

  10. Q1: I lived in my hometown until I was married, then I lived about 10 to 15 minutes from it. In the spring of 2008 my husband and I moved from Northeastern Ohio to Tennessee.
Q2: I have never used a book to hide something in it unless it was a paper of some kind. I like the idea but I can't see myself damaging a book to hide something in it.l

  13. 1. When I was a child we moved about every 5 years. Each time my Father got a promotion off we went. It was kind of exciting. I have moved around a lot as a grown up too, but I think I have finally settled. I bought a house & put down roots.

    2. I have never hidden anything in a book, but I have lost papers that I have used as bookmarks.

  14. I'm glad you're better now :)
    1. I have never moved in my life, I born and still live in the same place. For the future, I'd like to live somewhere else.
    2. I have. I hide money or important documents in my favorite books and always top of the bookshelf, that way I never lose anything! Is so useful!

  17. Q1. Not very far. Just across the road LOL. But only once I believe. I've lived in my current house most of my life.

Q2. NO! I'd never ever ever cut out pages in any of my books! Granted, those textbooks aren't thick enough to warrant a proper hiding place. But other than "hiding" flowers for pressing, nope never hid anything before. I have seen some of those "fake" books with hiding spaces on Groupon before. Tempting.
