They are here. They ride. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

His name is Ares, and the fate of mankind rests on his powerful shoulders. If he falls to the forces of evil, the world falls too. As one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, he is far stronger than any mortal, but even he cannot fight his destiny forever. Not when his own brother plots against him.

Yet there is one last hope. Gifted in a way other humans can't-or won't-understand, Cara Thornhart is the key to both this Horseman's safety and his doom. But involving Cara will prove treacherous, even beyond the maddening, dangerous desire that seizes them the moment they meet. For staving off eternal darkness could have a staggering cost: Cara's life.

It's Monday! What are you Reading April 4, 2011?

This meme starts at One Person's Journey Through A World of Books!
What Are You Reading, is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.

Traveling this past week I got good reading done but no reviews written. There was limited computer time with weak WiFi internet at the motels.

I finished four books. I posted one review with ARC Giveaway; a Giveaway Hop; Enquiring Mind Meme, Sunday post and winner posts.

I visited only a few blogs since we were on the road most of the week. *Sigh*

These were last week's posts plus Winner posts not listed.

The Healing CodeThe Healing Code  by Alex Loyd, Ben Johnson
A very interesting approach to healing.
Review to be posted this week.
Product Description
Discover the revolutionary formula that heals the source of illness and disease, even success and relationship issues. According to Stanford, Harvard, Mayo Clinic, the CDC, and other research centers, there is one source of up to 95% of all illness and disease, and it is not your thoughts, emotions, conscious beliefs, actions, or even your DNA. Solomon revealed this source more than 3000 years ago. In 2001 Dr. Alex Loyd discovered how to activate a physical function built into the body that consistently and predictably removes this source so that the neuro-immune system takes over its job of healing whatever is wrong in the body. His findings were validated scientifically and by the thousands of people from all over the world who have used The Healing Codes® system to heal virtually any physical, emotional, or relational issue, as well as realize breakthroughs in success. It is this system that healed Dr. Ben Johnson of Lou Gehrig s disease (ALS) in less than three months; he has been symptom-free since 2004. Dr. Loyd's testing has also revealed that there is a Universal Healing Code that will heal any issue for anyone. In this book you will get that Universal Healing Code, which takes only 6 minutes to do. You will also get: The 7 secrets of life, health, and prosperity (DVD also available) The 10-second Instant Impact technique for defusing daily stress Access to The Heart Issues Finder, the only test in the world that identifies your source issues in a 10-15 page personalized report (which you can take as often as you like) This is your healing kit for life to heal the issues you know about, and the ones you to heal the issues you know about, and the ones you don't. With The Healing Code you have so much more than just a book. ... you have the keys to unlock your own God-given health potential.

Woman of Honor (Kingdom of Arnhem, Book 1)Kindle:
by Nicole Zoltack
This is a book I won last year and
I am working on reading "won books".
I am looking forward to reading this.

Product Description
Aislinn of Bairbhe dreams of becoming a lady knight to honor the death of her fallen brother. To her mother's horror, King Patrick grants Aislinn's wish and she begins her long years of training.

Despite the mockery of the other pages, and the disdain of Prince Caelan who also trains to be a knight, Aislinn commits herself to her dreams and embarks on a journey of self-discovery and bravery. Through the years, Aislinn and Caelan grow from sparring classmates to good friends. They both know that someday Caelan will marry for the sake of the kingdom, but even that cannot keep them from falling in love.

The threat of war with the Speicans is a constant threat, and one that grows more frightening as she and Caelan train toward their eventual knighthood. Aislinn has committed herself to serving Arnhem, and has promised herself as King's Champion when Caelan claims the throne. She is willing to give up everything... her childhood, her life, even her heart for Arnhem. No matter the pain it brings.

Audible:
One Second After by William R. Forstchen
I started this one today.
In a small North Carolina town, one man struggles to save his family after America loses a war that will send it back to the Dark Ages.Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States, literally within one second.
This book, set in a typical American town, is a dire warning of what might be our future and our end.
Audible:
I am listening to The Listener's Bible NIV
read by Max McLean. I am at Deuteronomy 23 and Psalm 36 and Matthew 14.

Sunday Words of Encouragement April 3, 2011

We are still on the road returning home today.  I have been listening this week to Deuteronomy, Psalms and Matthew. The Bible has so much to tell of God's love for us and His guiding instructions for our lives.
I am so glad I believe and I know that I am a child of God.
This is a beautiful song to share.
He knows my name... and He knows your name too...
and He hears us when we call.

A Verse for Today:
1 John 3:1a
1 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
I pray this morning that you might know the wonder of knowing that God knows your name.

Enquiring Minds - Meme Week 31 PLUS Comment Giveaway + Winner

It sounds like many of us enjoy traveling - although traveling 1000 miles west then turning around and traveling 1000 miles home isn't what I call fun travel. We had basically no internet the last two nights so I am really glad to be in a nice hotel tonight. But my guys are asleep and I need to turn out lights soon.

Looks like at least five of us would like to visit Alaska and there are five or so interested in the Scotland/Ireland area too. Mona - that Palace on Wheels train sounds interesting. Scottsgal - the Grand Canyon is beautiful and my DH and I agreed that there is still plenty for us to see in the USA ... although I would still like to visit lots of other countries too!

The Winner from Enquiring Minds Week #30 is: #4 Sarah. Sarah- please pick a book from the Love Books List for Giveaway or remaining Christmas Giveaway Books and let me know your choice, your address and a choice of bookmarks if desired. Or let me know what credit you want or book you want from Book Depository if international.

This meme is hosted by Dollycas Thoughts for Thursdays - which are hard for me to make.  The goal is to get to know our fellow bloggers and visitors better. Each week Dolly asks some questions for us to answer and then link up. I am late doing the post but I am trying to to participate as I would like to learn more about blogger and follower friends.

WEEK 31 QUESTIONS
1. Are you a bath or shower person?
I am definitely a shower person. I rarely take time for a bath. Unfortuneately our main bedroom shower is small like this picture. My DH keeps threatening... ah promising... to expand the shower every time he bumps his elbows.

2.  Do you bathe/shower in the morning or at night?
I shower in the mornings. When I am washing my hair I use the other, larger shower.

3. Do you have a hot tub or swimming pool?
It may seem strange but I do not like hot tubs. We have a swimming pool which is currently covered but will be uncovered soon! This is a picture of our pool from last August.

Your turn to share: Do you shower or take baths?; in the morning or at night? Do you have a hot tub or pool?
Enquire Comment Winners can choose a selection from  Valentine and "Love" books or the remaining Christmas Giveaway Books
Rules: a) Must be a follower; b) Share a comment on any (or all) of the three questions above.
Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.
I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made by Friday, April 8 at 10PM central.
