My Current Review Schedule

Hanging books by timtom.ch

I wanted to show the books I am privileged to be reading and reviewing. Some have deadlines so I have to keep some on schedule while others may get moved around a bit. This is only half of the books I have in or have agreed to accept. I will be updating the list every week or so. :)

My goal is to read a book I commit to within 6 weeks at the latest. That may not always happen as, for example, I received four Hachette books at the same time and I am spreading them out over two months. Also, occasionally I get an ARC that will not be released for a couple of months so I may set it on the schedule later and read others that are released, or being released sooner, ahead of it. To keep to this schedule I figure I can not commit to more than 20 books unless I make it clear that they might run past that 6 week time frame. Right now I have 20 scheduled with 4 more that have not yet come in.

Someday I may do a separate page for each book received with its own picture but since I am playing "catch up" (sort of) I am not doing that right now as it is too time consuming.

The Slideshow on the upper right corner of the blog will show the books I am currently reading. If a book is on the slideshow and not on the review list it is probably an Audible that I am listening to, a book from my own TBR or a book I have won that I want to review! :)
The review books are eBooks unless noted as PB for Paperback or CD for Audio.

Once a Dreamer by Rebecca Goings - Reviewing for Author; read; writing review.
Meant To Be by Donna Marie Rogers - Reviewing for Between the Lines/WRDF; read; writing review.

  1. The Macgregor's Daughter by Dee Julian - Reviewing for You Gotta Read; 68% read.

  3. A Treasure for Sara by Allison Kent - Reviewing for Author; starting tomorrow.

  4. Hardball by Sara Paretsky (PB ARC) - Reviewing for Putnam; 1/4 read.

  5. The Last Guardian by Stephen LaFevers - Reviewing for YGR.

  8. The Christmas Clock by Kat Martin (PB ARC) - Reviewing for CataReviews.

That's the half list for now!

Sunday Words of Encouragement 9/6/09

We had an awesome service today reminding us how Great is Our God!

Artist - Chris Tomlin
Album - Arriving
Lyrics - How Great Is Our God

The splendor of a King
Clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
All the earth rejoice

He wraps Himself in light
And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice
Trembles at His voice

How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God

Age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the end
Beginning and the end

The Godhead Three in One
Father Spirit Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb

How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God

Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God

How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God

A verse for today (and Labor Day):
Matthew 11:28 NIV "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
Early this morning I was led to pray for our President and our nation's leaders.
I am thankful today for God's many blessings.

3) What one question do you have about BBAW that someone who participated last year could answer? Only one question? How bout two:
A. Does the actual week get crazy with activity?

B. Is it better to host the giveaways at your own blog or at the BBAW blog?
