Sooo - I just learned about the new blogger templates and went to play! I have been wanting to update the blog look anyway. I hope to learn photoshop soon and I will replace my banner. In the meantime I am playing with layouts and colors. I doubt I will stay with the brown but the type seemed easy to read!!
Feel free to comment on what you think! Good, bad or indifferent! LOL
If I get over ten comments I think I'll award a book pick to a commenter! So have it!
**** Sharpen up your movie minds for this coming Tuesday when I plan a bit of movie madness!
I love playing around with the template choices...I like the birds on the corner...looking forward to see what you're going to end up with...
ReplyDeleteVery easy on the eyes, I like it!
ReplyDeleteI'm always wanting to change the look of my blog. I think, for me, it's an illness. I get bored. Haha
ReplyDeleteI love the font. What kind is that?
I'm always up for redecorating. :O) I just can't see you as a beige person though ... I like the format, but I think you need a little more color or ... pizazz. lol
ReplyDeleteNice simple layout, easy to read, and I like the birds too. Maybe we all have spring fever and need a new and refreshing look?
ReplyDeleteDidn't know that blogger had new templates... need to go take a look. I like the birds up in the corner, and it does seem easier to read. Looking forward to seeing which design you finally decide on!
ReplyDeleteI like the beige-tan background. I think it is easier to read the text. White backgrounds seem too harsh on the eyes and very dark backgrounds just don't work. The font could be a tad larger but that's just mho. It will be interesting to see what you choose. Have fun with it!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way, Martha. I love to alter the look of my blog. I think it's great to try something new. You never know who it'll attract.
ReplyDeleteI like the soft tanish-brown to offset the widgets and all :)
ReplyDeleteI like the earth tones and type is very easy to read.
ReplyDeleteI also like the beige-tan background. It's easier on the eyes than white or dark backgrounds. Have you considered setting it up so that we can receive your posts by email everyday.
ReplyDeleteCarol-
ReplyDeleteIf you go to the upper right hand column I think the Subscribe to Posts allows you to get the posts daily. Let me know if that doesn't work and I will update it.
Also you can follow on Twitter, if you are a Twitterer!
Thank you EVERYONE for your comments and input.
ReplyDeletes7Anna- wish I had more time to play around with the templates and widgets and all. :)
Gwen - easy on the eyes is an important feature. Thanks.
Ha Lynne- I don't think I get bored as much as my mood or frame of mind shifts!
Lee - I actually am sort of a beige person sometimes - being a pretty conservative lawyer! My fav color is burgundy. But I like bright colors too.
Janet Ruth - I definitely have spring fever and wanted a more distinct look.
Alexia - if you don't find the link for the new templates let me know and I will dig it out and post it.
Kaye - Yes, I will get back in, maybe this weekend and increase the font size.
EA - that is a good idea. Change it up to keep 'em guessing what is next. *BG*
Kathryn - thanks; it has grown on me this week.
Steve- thanks for adding your positive comments.
Carol - yes I am realizing white can be harsh and I know I have trouble with the black blogs too.
My real story is I am a word person and my sister and brother got the art talent in my family! I don't have much sense of decoration so any help I get, from Blogger or you my friendly followers, is a big PLUS.
I will stay with this color for a bit as it seems to read well. I still need to update my banner though......someday soon!
I will announce a winner from these comments later today or on Friday.
I do have your site bookmarked and I also follow you on Twitter. I was thinking more of something like feedburner that sends each new post straight to your mailbox.
