I am linking with Sunday Post at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's Monday! What Are You Reading? now at The Book Date (at Wordpress)
What Are You Reading? is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.
Oh work, oh work, oh work. Yes - that's how I feel sometimes.
Did you watch the Superbowl today? Hubby forwarded through the commercials and show parts so I didn't get to see any of that. I have to go back to watch or check those through media. I thought it was a pretty good came although I was rooting for the Bengals.
Hubby is continuing to improve with less coughing and better breathing. He is slowly shedding the water weight so we can see wrinkles in his feet. Now he is struggling to stay asleep during the night. He woke up almost every hour last night.
We meet with the contractor this week to clarify some of the interior details like pass throughs in the offices, door designs, paint color, etc. This kitchen area got squished by the increased ADA bathrooms so I plan to ask them to move the storage closet to open up the kitchen area. (The tables were left in for use by the workmen. They don't belong there.)
We had a couple of days last week that harbinger spring! Then the winds blow and the cold settles in again. Tomorrow morning 6am temp is expected to be 30 degrees. At least I don't have to go out until 9am.
I visited 15 blogs last week.
Shout Out this week to GENRE BOOKS AND ME. I like Mia's header tag: "All I need in life to be happy is ... a stack of books, a cup of tea, an armchair, and a cat!" That sounds good to me.
Audible offerings for free children's titles ended June 30.
Audiobooks.com is still sharing some free listens for children.

Mickey7
by Edward Ashton
John Pirhalla (Narrator)
Katharine Chin (Narrator)
Listening Length: 9 hours and 16 minutes
This looks like an interesting sci fi to me.
Source: 2022 NetGalley.
Mickey7, an "expendable," refuses to let his replacement clone Mickey8 take his place.
Dying isn’t any fun…but at least it’s a living.
Mickey7 is an Expendable: a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonize the ice world Niflheim. Whenever there’s a mission that’s too dangerous—even suicidal—the crew turns to Mickey. After one iteration dies, a new body is regenerated with most of his memories intact. After six deaths, Mickey7 understands the terms of his deal…and why it was the only colonial position unfilled when he took it.
On a fairly routine scouting mission, Mickey7 goes missing and is presumed dead. By the time he returns to the colony base, surprisingly helped back by native life, Mickey7’s fate has been sealed. There’s a new clone, Mickey8, reporting for Expendable duties. The idea of duplicate Expendables is universally loathed, and if caught, they will likely be thrown into the recycler for protein.
Mickey7 must keep his double a secret from the rest of the colony. Meanwhile, life on Niflheim is getting worse. The atmosphere is unsuitable for humans, food is in short supply, and terraforming is going poorly. The native species are growing curious about their new neighbors, and that curiosity has Commander Marshall very afraid. Ultimately, the survival of both lifeforms will come down to Mickey7.
That is, if he can just keep from dying for good.

The Fair (Time Box #2)
by John A. Heldt
I enjoy this author and his time travel families.
This is moving along fairly well so I am at 20%.
Source: June 20, 2021 received from the author.
Months after stealing two time machines from a madman who wants them back, the Lanes, a family of six, seek safety and contentment in 1893, the latest stop on a journey through time. While parents Mark and Mary find relief at Chicago's World's Columbian Exposition, an extravaganza of science and splendor, children Jeremy, Laura, and Ashley find romance, friendship, and thrills.
Older son Jordan, meanwhile, heads west in search of answers. Grieving the loss of a lover from 1865, he travels to Virginia City, Nevada, where he integrates himself into a storied mining community and the heart of a pretty library clerk.
Billionaire Robert Devereux could not care less. Reeling from the theft of his million-dollar devices, he sends an assassin to the past to retrieve his property and rid the world of his former business partner and his troublesome clan.
Filled with humor, heartbreak, and suspense, THE FAIR follows a modern family on the adventure of a lifetime as they navigate their way through an unforgettable year in American history.

Just Before Sunrise
By: Carla Neggers
Narrated by: Cassandra Livingston
Length: 9 hrs and 33 mins
I saw that the handful of Neggers' titles I picked up in 2021 are going to be unavailable after 2/18 so I decided to listen to at least one.

Publisher's Summary
Carla Neggers' sizzling novels are loved for their deliciously funny dialogue, electrifying suspense, and heart-stopping romance. Here, the New York Times bestselling author presents a fast-paced, scintillating tale of love, art, and danger....
Annie Payne realizes her dream when she moves to San Francisco and opens an art gallery. But when she accepts a secret commission to bid for a painting going on the auction block, she finds herself thrown into a haunting swirl of events linked to a five-year-old unsolved murder. Who is this secret client?
Marina owner Garvin MacCrae was determined to have the portrait of his late wife, and knows of only one person who would want it enough to outbid him. Could the intriguing art dealer who represented the auction winner hold the key to the mystery of his wife's death? Working together to untangle a murderer's clues, Garvin and Annie strike so many sparks off each other that they could start another San Francisco fire - a four-alarmer fueled by an explosive mix of suspicion, attraction, and love.

February 13, 2022 - These videos are really good! Bible Reading Plan: BibleProject | One Story that Leads to Jesus. I know it won't match my Hubby's reading but I wanted some different insights/devotions and I am enjoying the devotion video project. I am enjoying keeping up with my reading each day.
I am learning that working well glorifies God. I am on day 13 of a 21 day study "21 Days to Finding Eternal Purpose in Your Daily Work".
I completed two books again for review this week.
My NetGalley shelf has two new audiobooks again. I am listening to one.
There are still three old ebook titles. I will probably end up letting A Place Called Armageddon go as DNF.
I now have one author titles remaining in queue as I am reading one.
(Plus a few that I received from facebook links and newsletter sign-ups, not specific review requests.)
Still many titles through InstaFreebie and many new author requests I haven't replied to.
Welcome to Mailbox Monday.
Mailbox Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week and explore great book blogs. This Meme started with Marcia at A Girl and Her Books (fka The Printed Page) and after a tour of hosts has returned to its permanent home at Mailbox Monday. Thanks to the ladies sharing hosting duties: Serena of Savvy Verse & Wit, me and new to the team, Velvet at vvb32reads. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.
I selected and received two new NetGalley books for review.
No books at Audible this week.
I broke down and spent $2.97 to purchase three audiobooks at Chirp.
When I went to consider my February VIP at Audiobooks.com I discovered a Flash 2 for 1 Credit Romance selection and picked up two titles by Mary Balogh.
I got one free Kindle books.
Are your mailbox and TBR piles blooming?
