This is what we found in our garden last week!!
DH thinks it is from some watermelon seeds that were discarded in the planter area!
I would have taken a picture of our monster tomato plant but the caterpillars had stripped it and it looked so sad!!!
Here is a picture of the log splitter DH rented to help clean up some of the trees he has cut down. Believe me we will have plenty of fire wood this year!
What a great post! Same happened to our tomato plant.
ReplyDeleteJ. Kaye- at least we've had more butterflies this past month! And the tomato is growing back now!
ReplyDeleteWe had 20 cords of wood delivered at the end of June and just got the driveway cleared this past weekend. Good thing too because the weather has just started getting cooler at night. (down to low 30's) I think the wood we had before is now dry enough that we can bring it in and have it ready for when the real cold hits.
ReplyDeleteOur tomatoes are just about gone, the zukes are nearly gone and the cukes are totally gone! Peppers are trying their hardest to keep their heads in it. I can't wait till next year. I'm going to have more. We can't start planting till after June first though because of the frost. :(
Hey Tami! Sounds like you had quite a little garden going there! Your weather is in the 30s already- wow?! It also sounds like you have a short growing period! In Florida we have a pretty nice growing season although this year we had some late cold spells that messed up our blackberries and corn. Our peppers are doing great right now - I forgot to get a pic of them!
