Sharing Beyond Books #141 Comment Giveaway March 8, 2014

Hello again on Saturday night and Welcome to Sharing Beyond Books, SBB!
Thanks to everyone who commented last week.

The largest group of us have Kindles of several varieties. There are also those with Sony and Nook. There are several commenters who do not have kindle or other ereaders available in their countries. Q- to those of you with Kindle Fire or Paperwhite --- do those read to you like the older generation? I haven't found the answer to that question yet.

The Winner from SBB #140 comments is: #18 Natasha who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the ARC/Review titles, Christmas titles or Love titles - all linked near the end of the post.  Please let me know your choice by completing the (new) WINNER FORM.

WEEK #141 (One Question.)

Q1. Mary P asks:  Do you go to the theatre to watch plays, musicals and productions??
A: I don't go on a regular basis but I have been to theatre in Philadelphia when young and numerous times in West Palm Beach at the Kravis Center. Here in North Florida we have been to plays at Chipola College and some quaint local productions at nearby communities.

Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! We still have a supply of questions but from the same people so hopefully others will send more in -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify to use.

Your turn to share:

Q1. Mary P asks: Do you go to the theatre to watch plays, musicals and productions??

SBB Comment Winners can choose a selection from the Valentine and "Love" books, the Christmas Giveaway Books (this is the new link), or the June 2013 Newly Updated ARC/Review List.

SBB Rules:
a) Must be a follower.
b) Share a comment on either of the two questions above.
Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.

I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made through Saturday March 15, 2014 at 5 PM  central.

  1. Very seldom but I do enjoy the odd play.

  2. I haven't been to a live production in several years. The only thing recently is my nephew's music band performances, which have been fun since they remind me of when I was in the band in high school.

  4. 1. My friends and I go to the movies about once a month. My dad and I have season tickets to our local regional theatre. My husband and I always go to our local Shakespeare festival every summer. And I run a community youth theatre that puts on 12 plays a year, so I am usually in a theatre for rehearsal and running a show.

  5. we used to go see local plays a lot more when my sister acted. She was in many local Chicago theatre plays. Now my niece is getting the acting bug so we will start seeing shows again.

  7. I used to go a lot more, and there are a lot of theatre opportunities in my area, but I don't make the effort to go more than once in a couple of years.

  9. I haven't gone in years. My husband doesn't like to go to the theater and I really don't like to go alone.

  10. I went a few times when I was younger as part of a field trip. Now that I'm older I don't go. I've heard of a few good ones that have been in my city but I never liked them that much in my younger days. I highly doubt I will like them any better now.

  11. I really enjoy going to the theatre but having gone too much. At a small regional theatre, I did see a comedic version of "The 39 Steps".

  12. I don't go as often as I used to. None of the local productions appeal.

I attend some plays yearly put on by our local play group and the showcases they put on at the end of the year. Haven't been to a Broadway play in awhile though.

  14. Yes, I enjoy theatre productions, particularly musicals and plays (especially if I've read the play beforehand).

A recent favorite production that I watched was of Romeo and Juliet performed at the Kourion Ancient Theatre...an archaeological site in Cyprus. :)

  15. haven't for some time, but usually do like them when I have attended.
we have an outdoor park venue for summer productions that I think would be
    fun to experience.
