Now, they have to survive a worldwide pandemic. Taking refuge in a nearby Boy Scout camp, he leads a group of teens and their parents as they are forced to deal with infected creatures that are rapidly consuming the world. Will John and Shrek survive another war, or will this be the end of the line for the SEAL team?

Publisher's Summary
United Nations Special Operations Command sent an elite expeditionary force of soldiers and pilots out on a simple recon mission, and somehow along the way they sparked an alien civil war. Now the not-at-all-merry band of pirates is in desperate trouble, again. Their stolen alien starship is falling apart, thousands of light years from home. The ancient alien AI they nicknamed Skippy is apparently dead, and even if they can by some miracle revive him, he might never be the same.

August 8, 2021 - I remain on track. I love seeing new things each time I read the Bible. I am glad to still be current with morning reading. I am reading/listening to the NLT Tyndale version of the Bible on You Version App so Hubby and I are reading the same passages each day.
I finished the nine day study: What If Christianity Isn't What You Think?
I completed four books to review this week.
NetGalley shelf is still at four - 3 old and one new. And I forgot to post a couple of weeks ago that I had reached 95% feedback on the NetGalley shelf!
Now five author titles are in queue. I'll be working on these
(Plus a few that I received from facebook links and newsletter sign-ups, not specific review requests.)
Still many titles through InstaFreebie and many new author requests I haven't replied to.
Welcome to Mailbox Monday.
Mailbox Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week and explore great book blogs. This Meme started with Marcia at A Girl and Her Books (fka The Printed Page) and after a tour of hosts has returned to its permanent home at Mailbox Monday. Thanks to the ladies sharing hosting duties: Serena of Savvy Verse & Wit, me and new to the team, Velvet at vvb32reads. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.
Shocking - No Audios for me this week.
No new review book again this week.
I am eyeing the new deals at Audiobooks.com but haven't made a choice yet.
Two free ebooks and one Kindle title this week.
(Note these are in my Amazon library, NOT on my Kindle until I download and transfer them.)
Are your mailbox and TBR piles blooming?

I absolutely LOVE this blue nail color, perfect pick for the summer. You've read lots of great books, hope you have some more great reading this week!
ReplyDeleteWell done on finishing that many audiobooks. I need to get into my next one, I always seem to lag between one and the other. Good the leaks are less. Pretty nails!
ReplyDeleteI love the blue, it matches your ring so nicely! And fingers crossed that further rains don't lead to further leaks. I've also been thinking about rereading the Bible. I knew it quite well when I was a child and we went to church every Sunday, but I also think I would glean new things from it if I reread it as an adult. I hope you have a lovely week :)
ReplyDeleteJuli @ A Universe in Words
Love your nails! I need to get mine done. I haven't had them done since before the pandemic started.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Amelia Island and hopefully a little reading this week!
ReplyDeleteI love your nail colour!

Pretty nails! I love Melinda Leigh's books, and must read more of them! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat did you think of Lost Valley? It's on my Audible list but I haven't gotten to it yet. I'm listening to Joe Abercrombie's Red Country on my dog walks. :)
ReplyDeletePretty nails! Nice assortment of books too. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute nails! Enjoy your time away from home - even though it's for work.
