Side yard to the East of driveway.
Driveway looking to the West.
We have this large tree that leans toward the driveway.
My husband insists it is secure but it makes me a bit nervous when I drive under it.
The Leaning Tree:
I park my car a bit further to the left just out of the above picture.
Here is the tree canopy above where I park my car.
The leaning tree has that broken branch stub in the right of the picture.
As I was taking the pictures I suddenly realized my feet were getting wet.
I have this favorite pair of slip on sneakers that have worn through. :-(
My daughter is threatening to throw them away:
Thanks to all who stop by and visit.

Sydney is wet and miserable too, but too chilly to go outside in slip-ons!!
ReplyDeleteAt least you've turned a dreary day into something positive with your photos :-)
Great shots - we've had a fair amount of rain and have not seen sun in about a week. I love all the trees around your house.
ReplyDelete(and love the comfy shoes -- they look like Tom's brand, which I love).
Love your pictures. I know how you feel about the leaning tree. Where I used to live, we had a tree that did the same things. It was sturdy, but I wouldn't park anywhere near it. The way I look at it anything could happen during a storm and I didn't want it to land on my car. Love you shoes. I have a pair that should be thrown away too, but they are a favorite of mine and very comfortable. Thanks for sharing your pictures with us.
ReplyDeleteLove the little story you told with your photos today. Especially love the shots of the shoes. (Hide them, before your daughter carries out her threats!)
ReplyDeleteHere's my Saturday Snapshot!
Rain can be a nuisance, but it is a great event to photograph. And trees...my favorite things. You have some great ones. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHere's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
The trees just look so huge.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos....love your narration and your shoes. :)

My Saturday Snapshot
Great capture of the rain. Thanks for sharing your photos.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had all those trees, they are beautiful. I think of all the birds I could find in them!
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at the sneakers because I too had a favorite pair that had worn all the way through. I sadly put them in the trash yesterday when the sides also split open. Now I have to find a new pair and mine were so old they probably aren't made any longer!
We, too, have had torrential rains this week! And major thunder and lightning too ... stormy photos are fun and all, but I'm chuckling about those slippers of yours! Time for new ones! Haha!
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you, that tree would make me nervous too! We've been getting lots of rain too and some trees have come up roots and all from the saturated ground. Be careful!
ReplyDeleteYour favorite sneakers made me laugh because I've done that too. It's hard to part with some things that you're used to having around. It sure would be a great gift idea for your family to keep in mind! :)
Summer storms are great...we normally don't get them around here (when it rains, it just rains), so it was nice to see your pictures and not have to deal with the wet trees here!
