My week has been a bit harried. One staff member had to stay home all week with a sick child. Today I spent a lot of time cleaning at home to prepare for family to visit.
Thanks to everyone who commented last week.
Eight of us do not have a local carnival. Seven others have carnivals or have experienced them where they lived in past.

The Winner from SBB #239 comments is: #8 MaryP who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the Updated ARC/Review titles or (not yet updated) Love titles - all linked near the end of the post. I'm hoping to update the book choices - maybe the beginning of next year, lol. Please let me know your choice by completing the WINNER FORM.
WEEK #240
(One Question.)
miki asks: If one of the authors you follow ( favourite or not) was confronted to some big troubles ( disaster, health etc) and you could help a little ( one way or another) would you do it or not??The first thing I would do is to pray for their situation. If there was some other material way to help I would try depending on the situation. I have made donations for medical and disaster situations before.

Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! The supply of questions is dwindling so share some if you think of any -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify to use.
Your turn to share:

SBB Comment Winners can choose a selection from the Valentine and "Love" books or the February 2015 Newly Updated ARC/Review List. (My daughter pulled several of the Christmas titles to give with gift bags we made up for the nursing homes. One of these days I will get together a new box of Christmas titles.)
SBB Rules:
a) Must be a follower.
b) Share a comment on the question above.
Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.
I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made through Saturday February 27, 2015 at 5 PM central.
Thank you
ReplyDeleteI would hope that one of the charitable agencies that I support, eg. The Red Cross, would be able to offer assistance.
Congratulations to Mary P. I too would pray for the situation and if I could depending on finances I would help.

Yes! I would definitely try to help any way I can.
ReplyDeleteI follow several authors that are animal lovers and have helped them with donations to animal causes or for help with their personal pets health issues.
ReplyDeleteYes, if I was able to assist in some way, then I would.
ReplyDeleteI would help anyone if I could in their time of need.
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Mary!
Congrats Mary!
ReplyDeleteYes, I would try to help.
I'd like to think that everyone who hears about something bad happening to someone will keep them, at least for a while, in their thoughts or prayers. And it's the best many of us can do. As to the monetary help, a good deed does not need an audience or recognition. Whether I do it or not is a private matter and not something I feel comfortable discussing.
ReplyDeleteI would if they reached out for help.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Mary. Prayers are always there for everyone in nèed.
ReplyDeleteCongrats MaryP!
ReplyDeleteYes, I would try and help. I would pray for the situation and if possible help out in any other way.
I think the trouble is usually it's hard to figure out how you can help in a material way. If there is a way, yes
ReplyDeleteI think & hope so
ReplyDeletein some way
ReplyDeleteI would definitely pray for the situation and help if I could. There are so many people that have needs that any monetary donations I make are usually made close to home.
ReplyDeleteWould definitely look at the options if there are any from my side of the planet.
ReplyDeletei do try to help when i can, what i realised while reading other comment is that too often people think " monetary" help i do like to think that sometimes more simple gesture can have a biggers effect, a letter, a postcard showing we care, a little meaningful gift....bringing soup if we live close for example, there are so many way that are not "money"
