It's Monday! What are You Reading? November 21, 2011

This meme starts at Book Journey!
What Are You Reading, is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.

I did okay finishing four books.  I posted four reviews and four giveaways. Plus, I posted my regular Friday Pick Giveaway; Saturday Sharing Beyond Books, and Sunday posts.

I still need to keep posting at least four to five reviews a week to keep up with the reading! :-)

I didn't get to visit at all last week - ugh.  Just really busy at work and in the evenings. Limited time means something doesn't get done. *Sigh*
These were last week's posts plus a Winner post not listed.

4. Print and Audible
By Dr. David Jeremiah
I can appreciate the truthfulness
of this title and it's contents.
I am reading this for FaithWords, div of Hachette.
I'll post a review this week.
Book Description:
Publication Date:October 4, 2011 Is Western civilization in an accelerating decline? And if it continues will it eventually weaken and cause us to come to the end of cultured civilization as we now know it? "Yes," says David Jeremiah, and in his book, I NEVER THOUGHT I'D SEE THE DAY! he details numerous signs of this cultural decay including:
  • America held hostage by Iran
  • Marriage becoming obsolete
  • Creeping socialism
  • The invisibility of culture's enemies
  • Increase in "spiritual warfare"
  • America turning its back on Israel
  • Atheist attack on religion
Can this downward spiral be reversed? Yes, but only if one person at a time returns to God with our heart, our manner of life, our dedication to genuine worship of God, in serving God by helping others, in our giving, and in prayer.

2. Audio:
by Laini Taylor
I am a two third into this. I am engaged and want to know what happens. Reviewing for Hachette Audio.
Book Description
September 27, 2011 Around the world, black handprints are appearing on doorways, scorched there by winged strangers who have crept through a slit in the sky.
In a dark and dusty shop, a devil's supply of human teeth grown dangerously low.
And in the tangled lanes of Prague, a young art student is about to be caught up in a brutal otherwordly war.
Meet Karou. She fills her sketchbooks with monsters that may or may not be real; she's prone to disappearing on mysterious "errands"; she speaks many languages--not all of them human; and her bright blue hair actually grows out of her head that color. Who is she? That is the question that haunts her, and she's about to find out.
When one of the strangers--beautiful, haunted Akiva--fixes his fire-colored eyes on her in an alley in Marrakesh, the result is blood and starlight, secrets unveiled, and a star-crossed love whose roots drink deep of a violent past. But will Karou live to regret learning the truth about herself?

But Sophie's holiday is about to heat up...
With his estate in ruins, Vim Charpentier sees little to feel festive about this Christmas. His growing attraction for Sophie Windham is the only thing that warms his spirits-but when Sophie's brothers whisk her away, Vim's most painful holiday memories are reawakened.
