I am going to continue to post this event biweekly (every other week) for another month and then see if I am ready to go back to four a month. I have gotten some more questions - Thank you.
Thanks to everyone who commented last week.
13 of us do not listen to music, several noting distracting and some prefer silence. Three listen to background noise, one listens depending on mood. Only Alina actually listens to a rotating playlist.
The Winner from SBB #338 comments is: #12 Natalija who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the Updated (**Finally!) ARC/Review titles or (recently updated) Love and Christmas titles - all linked near the end of the post.
**NOTE: I did post an Updated ARC and Other books for Giveaways. I have to go back and list the titles -- someday.
Please let me know your choice by completing the WINNER FORM.
WEEK #339
(One Question.)
Alina asks: What are some of your pet peeves while reading??
Hmm - I am reading this question as a pet peeve while reading, not a pet peeve about books I am reading. [We can do that one another time.] I had to think about the question. It is a peeve if I am interrupted at a good spot in the reading although I understand this if it is family need. On the other hand, it is terribly annoying when my device runs out of power at a good point in the story.
Another peeve would be loaning a book out and never getting it back.. for that reason I now only loan if I don't need or expect the book back.

Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! The supply of questions is dwindling so share some if you think of any -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify.
Your turn to share. Alina asks: What are some of your pet peeves while reading??
SBB Comment Winners can choose a selection from the Updated ARC and Other books, including the "Love" and Christmas titles all in one post.
SBB Rules:
a) Must be a follower.
b) Share a comment on the question above.
Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.
I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made through Saturday March 24, 2018 at 5 PM central.
Thanks! I’m happy to have won.
ReplyDeleteOne of my pet peeves while reading is that I don’t want to know how much I have read, how much time is left in the chapter, etc. Those number at the bottom of the page are too distracting. I prefer to find out % read when going back to my Kindle’s home page.
Congrats to winner. My biggest pet peeve is one you mentioned. Running out of power in the middle of a very intense part of the book. if it's an actual book, then everyone suddenly needs to ask a million questions or calls at the same time.

Congrats Natalija!
ReplyDeleteI can't think of any pet peeves that I have while reading.
being interrupted while reading ( especially when it 's something that could have waited)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Natalija!
ReplyDeleteMy pet peeves is just having the quiet I need. I also am still upset that I lent my best friend my Neil Gaiman book and have yet to get it back. Doubt I will at this point.
reading a library book and seeing people who wrote in the book or folded pages
ReplyDeleteCongrats Natalija!
ReplyDeleteMy pet peeve is the phone ringing.
My pet peeve is having someone see what I'm reading and start talking to me about the book---please don't do that until I have FINISHED reading the book.
ReplyDeleteBeing interrupted all the time is a pet peeve of mine. When this happens I find myself re-reading the same passage time and again.
ReplyDeleteBeing interrupted.
ReplyDeleteBeing interrupted. It happens often. Sigh!!!
ReplyDeleteIf I'm reading in public (hospital waiting rooms for eg), it's inconsiderate people using their cellphones indiscriminately.
ReplyDeleteOh that meme is spot-on. People will just start talking to me. No excuse me or anything.
ReplyDeleteI like to keep my books in excellent condition, so my biggest pet peeve is when people borrow my books and then damage them by creasing the spines or covers, folding pages, or marking in them.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I am annoyed when I do not get a book back that I really want to keep.
ReplyDeleteDog-eared pages!!! I hate when people do that.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
ReplyDeleteBeing interrupted while reading is one of mine as well.
Congrats Natalija!
ReplyDeleteMy pet peeve is any sort of unwanted sounds (being interrupted, phone calls, doorbells - unless it's the postman with more books!!).
