Thanks to everyone who commented last week. Only one out of 19 of us might purchase a book if it was a favorite author or she was pre-ordering the book anyway. One other might enter if she had already purchased the book. The rest of us would choose not to purchase the book for contest entry.

WEEK #331
(One Question.)
Mystica asks: The P&P [Pride and Prejudice] book has got so many spin offs its unimaginable the extent to which it has now grown. Is there any other book which has created an interest like this??
I know that there are spin offs for Beauty and the Beast and other fairy tales but I am not aware of another book that has as many spin offs or adaptations as P&P.Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! The supply of questions is dwindling so share some if you think of any -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify.

Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.
I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made through Saturday December 9, 2017 at 5 PM central.
Cinderella immediately comes to mind, especially in romance genre.
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was fairy tale re-tellings. There seem to be quite a lot of them.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winner. I truly can't think of another book that has come close to P&P. The fairy tales like Martha said. Beauty & the Beast.

I've seen a few Beauty and the Beast tropes too. But nothing beats Pride and Prejudice.

ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of the Sherlock Holmes mysteries---recently there have been a lot of new versions.
