It's been a busy week for me. I am tired but not exhausted.
Thanks to everyone who commented last week.
Sarah attended BEA 2012 (lucky) and Miki has attended a manga convention. How sad that they destroy the books instead of doing giveaways! The other 13 commenters have not attended a convention but most would like to, especially if there was one nearby.

The Winner from SBB #161 comments is: #8 bn100 who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the ARC/Review titles, Christmas titles or Love titles - all linked near the end of the post. Please let me know your choice by completing the (new) WINNER FORM.
WEEK #162 (One Question.)
Q1. Becky asks: 1 Do you use the Library much or is it easier just to buy the book??
A: I have to admit that I have only been to our local library twice in the nine+ years we have lived here. Last time was before I began this blog in 2009. So I read books I get for review, books I download, books I have won or books I purchase, usually at low price for ebook or used for print.
Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! We still have a supply of questions but from the same people so hopefully others will send more in -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify to use.
Your turn to share:

SBB Comment Winners can choose a selection from the Valentine and "Love" books, the Christmas Giveaway Books (this is the new link), or the June 2013 Newly Updated ARC/Review List.
SBB Rules:
a) Must be a follower.
b) Share a comment on either of the two questions above.
Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.
I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made through Saturday August 9, 2014 at 5 PM central.
I tend to buy my books
ReplyDeleteI love my visits to the library. We are actually having a new library built here in town. I'm looking forward to that.
ReplyDeleteI do buy books as well, but mostly books I have already read & loved & want a copy for re-reading.
We live close to our local library so I do use it. I know that I should use it more though!

I adore libraries! since childhood when mom used to walk us across town to pick out our next treasures thru my own stint as church librarian. I drove across the city on friday to pick up a Jane Austen audio and another dvd, then back to my local library and got 6 JA books [all for Austen in August!]
ReplyDeleteYES! I definitely make use of my libraries =)
Seems this was the perfect question for this reader ;)
We didn't have a library in town until a few years ago so I have gotten used to buying books. Our library is so small that the selection still isn't that great so I'll probably continue buying---but I do try to buy used books or find them at garage sales to save money.
ReplyDeleteWe have a small library here and I have gone into it only 1 time. It is very, very old. I shop at the used book stores and buy online for my books mostly.
ReplyDeleteboth
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winner!
ReplyDeleteI used to go to the library regularly, then they charged me for a book I returned claiming it was lost, and I stopped after paying the fine.
We go every 2 weeks to get my son books. It's where I get most of my audiobooks, although the selection isn't as good as my previous library. I'm actually considering an out-of-town membership to that one for the online audiobook selection.
ReplyDeleteI love the library in my city. It's a very nice library. I always reserve books online from other libraries in nearby cities and go pick them up at my local library. I go at least 2-3 times a month. It's mainly to get books for my children.
ReplyDeleteI love the library, but unfortunately, there's only a small library in my current city without an English language section.
ReplyDeleteI used to use the library more but haven't been in awhile
ReplyDeleteI wish I had time to go to the library but I would just ended up spending hours upon hours there and I don't have time to do that.
