It's Monday! What are You Reading? August 25, 2014

This meme starts at Book Journey!

What Are You Reading, is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.

It's been another good week though I am juggling work between title company, law office and publishing company.
Although I enjoyed my reading and listening it seemed slow. I only finished two books but I am well into the third.  I posted three book reviews and a separate tour giveaway.
I also posted the usual memes. :-)

I did get to visit  a little early in the week and a little at the end of the week.
Thanks as always to all the nice people who visit me.

These were last week's posts:

by Katie Reus
I am 70% through this and enjoying this.
I received this from the Publisher through NetGalley.

2.  eBook/Kindle

The Traitor (Captive Hearts)
by Grace Burrowes
A Regency Romance from a reliably good author.
I received this from Sourcebook through NetGalley.
Book Description
Publication Date: August 5, 2014
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Grace Burrowes delivers a passionate, danger-filled Regency romance...
The past will overtake him...
Abandoned in France since boyhood, despite being heir to an English barony, Sebastian St. Clair makes impossible choices to survive a tour of duty in the French Army. He returns to England hoping for the peaceful life of a country gentleman, though old enemies insist on challenging him on the field of honor, one after another.

But this time, he will not fight alone...
Millicent Danforth desperately needs her position as companion to the Traitor Baron's aunt, but grieves to learn that Sebastian must continually fight a war long over. As Sebastian and Milly explore their growing passion, they uncover a plot that will cost Sebastian his life and his honor, unless he does battle once more-this time in the name of love.

3. eBook/Kindle

Winter's Passage
by Julie Kagawa

I choose this as a book with "Winter" in the title as a result of a recent giveaway.
There are several other choices for "Winter" from my Kindle Library but I thought I would start with this novella.
Book Description
Publication Date: May 20, 2010
Julie Kagawa's bestselling series The Iron Fey captivated the imagination—and hearts—of readers of all ages with its mix of magic, fantasy and romance. Enjoy this special bridge novella, which takes place between The Iron King and The Iron Daughter.

Meghan Chase used to be an ordinary girl…until she discovered that she is really a faery princess. After escaping from the clutches of the deadly Iron Fey, Meghan must follow through on her promise to return to the equally dangerous Winter Court with her forbidden love, Prince Ash. But first, Meghan has one request: that they visit Puck—Meghan's best friend and servant of her father, King Oberon—who was gravely injured defending Meghan from the Iron Fey.

Yet Meghan and Ash's detour does not go unnoticed. They have caught the attention of an ancient, powerful hunter—a foe that even Ash may not be able to defeat….

I am pretty sure I will pick an audio choice this week but I haven't decided what title yet.

I am still one day ahead on my daily Bible reading.
I have disciplined myself each morning to read my Bible passage before I pick up print, Kindle or mp3. I am really enjoying the reading.

Line Edits:
We are still finalizing formatting for four ebook re-releases, two fiction and two non-fiction. We are also working on releasing several novels in print.

I still have some books carried forward and I still hope to read at least one of my own TBRs this month. I completed three reviews last week and hope to post at least three this week.

  2. I know i say this often but I never cease to be amazed at all you accomplish in a week. Thanks for the visit to my blog. I will be interested to see your review of Frances Housden book. She won a New Zealand Romance writer's award just recently but I had never heard of her!
