Saturday Snapshot (June 1, 2013) Growing Garden

This week I am sharing some of the growing bounty from our own garden. :-)

Our first meal from the garden was a week ago and included potatoes and garlic.
Here is a photo of the fresh picked goodies.
Here is the cooked meal.
My DH is sometimes called "One Pot Bob".

This week we had beans and green peppers.

Soon we will have corn and tomatoes.

It has been a lot of fun going out each week to photograph the progress in the garden!

Thanks to all who stop by and visit. I didn't get to visit last week so I hope to make up for it this Saturday.

A big Thank You to Alyce at Alyce of At Home With Books who has hosted this meme for a number of years. She is taking a summer hiatus at her blog and the new host will be Melissa at West Metro Mommy. Thank you to Melissa for picking up the responsibility.

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky being hosted this summer by West Metro Mommy. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

  1. It's wonderful watching a garden grow. We just harvested the last of our peppers/capsicums a week ago, and then pulled the whole thing out for the winter.

  3. Oh! I can't wait until we can have garden produce! The only we're getting so far are herbs and kale. May have some strawberries in a couple weeks! And the peas are up about six inches! Love Springtime ... it's such a hopeful time for gardeners!

  4. Nothing beats fresh veggies! I wish I have the green thumb and the time to plant. Sigh. Enjoy!

  5. Glad to see your garden doing so well. I planted my just recently so it will be awhile before I get anything. I hope when my green peppers start that they will come out like yours. This is my first year growing them.

  7. Wow - amazing and delicious! Every year I plan to grow a garden but never do more than flowers and a few goodies like tomatoes and herbs. (I enjoy the flowers more) Things are just starting to grow around here because it was cold for so long. Your garden looks terrific and I look forward to seeing more photos. Enjoy!

  8. I'm so jealous of your veggies! We had such a cold spring, my garden is still in the seedling stage.
