Sharing Beyond Books #356 Comment Giveaway November 17, 2018

Hello again and Welcome back to Sharing Beyond Books, SBB.

Thanks to everyone who commented last week.
We had nine commenters who haven't started Christmas shopping yet and seven who have, with four who shop year round.

The Winner from SBB #355 comments is: #15 Elizabeth who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the Updated (**Finally!) ARC/Review titles or (recently updated) Love and Christmas titles - all linked near the end of the post.

**NOTE: I did post an Updated ARC and Other books for Giveaways. I have to go back and list the titles -- someday.
Please let me know your choice by completing the WINNER FORM.

WEEK #356
(One Question.)

This is a question from bn100: What's the longest you've waited for a book sequel?
This was hard to answer. I am always waiting for a Taylor Anderson sequel (The Destroyermen series), and a Mercy Thompson sequel (by Patricia Briggs). I think I have had to wait a year or so for some sequels. I'm sure there are more but I can't think of them right now. I'm pretty sure my son would say the Game of Thrones next book has been the longest wait.

Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! The supply of questions is dwindling so share some if you think of any -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify.
Elizabeth and bn100 provided the questions in November and get $2.50 Credit/half a book credit.

Your turn to share. bn100 asks: What's the longest you've waited for a book sequel?

SBB Comment Winners can choose a selection from the Updated ARC and Other books, including the "Love" and Christmas titles all in one post.

SBB Rules:
a) Must be a follower.
b) Share a comment on the question above.
Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.
I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made through Saturday December 1, 2018 at 5 PM central.

  1. Congrats to Elizabeth. I usua!ly wait till all the books in a series (trilogy) are out so I can read them back to back. I really can't remember how I waited but one was a book from Dainna Canals in for the Outlander series. It was about 2 years.

  2. Not myself but my sister who waited years and years - I'm sure it must have been over 10 - for Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series to conclude. I don't even remember how many books it ran to in the end, but the author died before it was completed & Brandon Sanderson finished it if I recall. I gave up after the 1st few books.

  4. Congrats to Elizabeth!
Offhand, I'm not sure but less than a year I believe is the longest. I may be wrong though.

  5. This is a good Q. I think the most I've waited was for Grave Ransom
(Alex Craft #5) by Kalayna Price. I've shelved it in June 2013 and it was published in July 2017

  10. I don't remember myself ever impatiently waiting for a sequel, so I don't know how to answer. Since I avoid books with cliffhangers, waiting a couple of months or a year isn't an issue for me.

  11. It seems like I was always waiting for a new book in The Cat Who ...... series to come out---but it was probably only about a year.
