Sharing Beyond Books #329 Comment Giveaway November 18, 2017

Hello again and Welcome to Sharing Beyond Books, SBB!

Thanks to everyone who commented last week. It seems than none of us really have a "routine". Six commenters read "whatever" strikes fancy; four others read what strikes their "mood". Many read from their TBR piles. Others read favorite authors, favorite genres and read series.

~~~~~
The Winner from SBB #328 comments is: #15 Rita who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the Updated (**Finally!) ARC/Review titles or (recently updated) Love and Christmas titles - all linked near the end of the post.
**NOTE: I did post an Updated ARC and Other books for Giveaways. I have to go back and list the titles -- someday.
Please let me know your choice by completing the WINNER FORM.
WEEK #329
(One Question.)
Becky asks: What quote from any book will you never forget? Why is it significant??
I have always remembered several quotes from Alice in Wonderland. This is not exact, but is a paraphrase: 'If I really am a queen, I'm sure I'll handle it in time.' This was significant to me as it is a line I have remembered for confidence and grace.
Another is "Sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." This sentence works just fine with my strong faith. :-)
Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! The supply of questions is dwindling so share some if you think of any -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify.
Your turn to share. Becky asks: What quote from any book will you never forget? Why is it significant??
SBB Comment Winners can choose a selection from the Updated ARC and Other books, including the "Love" and Christmas titles all in one post.
SBB Rules:
a) Must be a follower.
b) Share a comment on the question above.
Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.
I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made through Saturday November 25, 2017 at 5 PM central.
  1. “There is an Indian proverb that says that everyone is a house with four rooms, a physical, a mental, an emtional, and a spiritual . Most of us tend to live in one room most of the time but unless we go into every room every day, even if only to keep it aired, we are not a complete person.”
    This is a Rumer Godden quote. A house with four rooms.
  2. Actually it's the Chapter One heading for DAVID COPPERFIELD by Charles Dickens that sticks. "I AM BORN".
    An auspicious beginning for us all.
  3. in fact its a quote from a manga " Ya Evam Veda".....i think it's inspiring because the meaning is that we should try to be like those we admire the most but veda was a term for divinities so it's not something to say we must look beautiful etc but that for exampel if we admire courage then we should work to be worth it and shopw courage, same for generosity etc so for me it was call to become better even if it was step by step i found that saying quite positive and motivating
  4. "My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." That quote of JFK's made me become interested in the political aspects of our society and how they can affect all of us.
  5. “Only ignorance excuses stupidity”
    ― Nalini Singh, Angels' Blood
    “Emotion without reason lets people walk all over you; reason without emotion is a mask for cruelty.”
    ― Nalini Singh, Archangel's Kiss
    I love the author and the series and I like how she builds her characters. At the same time I agree with some of the views she presents in her books, so these quotes stayed with me.
  6. I tend not to remember exact quotes, but I know a few from my school days, such as by Shakespeare.
  7. I'm not good with quotes and I'll never be able to quote anyone or anything, but it's the funny quotes that tend to stick for a while. For example:
    “Nothing says ‘classy’ like posting bond for your girlfriend so you can escort her to a black-tie dinner.”
    ― Linda Morris, High Heat
  8. A Bible verse that was mentioned in a book stuck with me.
    JOHN 15:13 "There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends." This was for all soldiers everywhere, the men and women who serve, those who laid down their lives for our freedom, and those still on the frontlines. You are not forgotten. I had never really remembered this verse and it stuck with me as being very meaningful.
  9. Congrats Rita!
    I'm not good at remembering exact quotes but I always like this one and thinks it's true: "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Which I believe Walt Disney said.
