Sharing Beyond Books #196 Comment Giveaway March 28, 2015

Hello again on Saturday night and Welcome to Sharing Beyond Books, SBB!

We are heading home from our week in Orlando. The kids had a blast and it was mostly relaxing for DH & I. The one event he really wanted to do (go to Old Town Friday night for the old car show) was rained out. :-( Still it was a great family week. We are now stopped in Lake City waiting for our Florida kids who stayed for one last day at Disney. (Our Maryland kids had to head on home for the longer drive.

Thanks to everyone who commented last week.

Four out of fourteen couldn't pick one "best" movie and two don't watch enough movies to choose one. The rest of us had a wide range of "best" movie picks, from classics to foreign to Christmas specials. :-)

The Winner from SBB #195 comments is: #13 Rubynreba who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the Updated ARC/Review titles or (not yet updated) Love titles - all linked near the end of the post. I'm hoping to update the book choices this week. Please let me know your choice by completing the (new) WINNER FORM.

WEEK #196 (One Question.)

Q1. Becky asks: Has there been one book that changed your life or help make changes in it?
A: When I read this question one book jumped to mind. This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti. The story portrays battle between angels and demons that gave me a totally new view of heavenly armies. It changed my prayer life in a positive way.
Piercing the Darkness is the second book in the series.

Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! We still have a supply of questions but from the same people so hopefully others will send more in -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify to use.
March Questions were contributed by: Tearsa, Sue, Rubynreba and Becky. Random, org chose #2, SUE.

Your turn to share:

Q1. Becky asks: Has there been one book that changed your life or help make changes in it?

SBB Comment Winners can choose a selection from the  Valentine and "Love" books or the February 2015 Newly Updated ARC/Review List. (My daughter pulled several of the Christmas titles to give with gift bags we made up for the nursing homes. I still have to go back and update that list with what is left and a few new titles to add.)

SBB Rules:
a) Must be a follower.
b) Share a comment on either of the two questions above.
Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.
I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made through Saturday April 4, 2015 at 5 PM  central.

  1. I have two books that I read about 4 or 5 years ago that help make some changes in my and my husband way of living. Those books are Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey.

  3. I can't say that any one book changed my life. Books in general yes.

  4. Mine's more of an author than an actual book. Judith Mcnaught's books got me through a very tough spot in my life. And i still support her! Like, of course!

  5. moon called by Patricia briggs.....it as a time when i was quite desesperate with my father being deadly sick and with big change in personnality...all his life he tried to help others and even went above but when it was him who needed help all those people disappeared ( or worse) it had me doubt how i was raised ( why help other if it's only onesided, why bad ones gets all teh material safety, teh health etc)....with this book i saw a heroine , strong pshysially and mentally but she stayed compasionated true... so it showed me that i did not have to choose ... i could be strong, i could try to protect myself and still be attentive to others.... it alsomade me read again so this book was a pure treasure when i found it

  10. Finding Your North Star by Martha Beck..several years ago this one just 'clicked' and I was able to prioritize and see what my goals were at a time when things were total chaos. Now, I'll need to read it again.
