Saturday Snapshot September 14, 2013 Bahamas Cruising - Half Moon Cay

The stop on Day 3 was a Half Moon Cay.

The ship anchored off its own little island where they off load for a bar-b-que on the beach. They have lots of beaches and sports activities including horseback riding, snorkeling and swimming with sting rays. I swam with sting rays many years ago when my kids were early teens. :-)

The weather was slightly overcast.
These are pictures (taken from our window)
of the tender returning from the island to the ship.

(You can see here that the tender is pretty empty.)

These aren't real exciting but you get a feel for the weather.
We had a relaxing day on the boat with many people gone. :-)

Thanks to all who stop by and visit. Hopefully I will get to visit back this week!

  1. Great pictures! I'm sure it was relaxing and quiet not having all of the people on the cruise ship.

  2. I would love to take a cruise sometime...even though I don't actually like the idea of being surrounded by water for long periods of time...lol.

Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.

  4. I've never been on a cruise, but there is something about the sound of the water and the big blue color that makes it look so restful.

  5. I've never been on a cruise either, but it's definitely on my list of things to do, nice to get a preview. The water is so beautiful, no matter the weather.

  8. Very nice! We went on a cruise once to the Bahamas and tried the swimming with stingrays and when we got to the place to do it they told us there were none to swim with, a hurricane had chased them all away! Oh, Well, the food is good on the ship!
