Saturday Snapshot August 17, 2013 The Blurry Bucks

I was finally able to access the pictures from my SIM card. Usually we see the doe and young deer but we have actually seen bucks this summer. I know there is more than one as I saw four young guys together one day.

This one was in our backyard and I was able to zoom in to get his head behind a tool shed.
This was in July and his horns look like big knobs - just starting to branch.

These next are shots are of a buck that I saw one early evening as I was coming down our street.
He was with several doe. I don't know if he is the same as the one above but this one has a nice set of small antlers.
I had stopped the car but I couldn't get the deer to stand still!
He is on the right in this picture.
Here he is on the left with a different doe off to the right.

I tried to zoom in but the pictures got blurry as it seemed he kept moving his head.
He was probably keeping an eye out for danger--
like the lady in the car trying to get pictures!
Better me than hunters in fields nearby.

I had fun visiting a bit last week and I hope to do more visiting this week.
Thanks to all who stop by and visit.

  3. I wish animals would stand still. And move closer to the camera. That would help so much!

    Here's my Saturday Snapshot.

  5. Nice shots of them! I've seen many does and fawns, but not bucks.

  6. Deer are so quick - when you're trying to take a photo, and the blurriness makes the scenes look so ghostly! I like them.

  7. Great photos of the deer. I grew up in the Black Hills of So Dakota, so saw lots of deer in the surrounding area. I never tire of watching them.

  8. last week I was awakened on two nights around 2 am when my motion detector light went on - when it stayed on it meant something was moving out there - looked out and saw a young buck with many pointed antlers covered in velvet - he was munching on the sickle pears that dropped from the tree

  14. I love deer--of course, I don't live in a place where they regularly get into my yard and eat my plants. Still, I think they are lovely!
