Saturday Snapshot (1/5/13) Maui - The Lavendar Farm

I was so glad to be home and sleep in last Saturday I completely forgot to do a Saturday Snapshot post!

This was the second site we visited in Maui after the goats. The Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm

There are fields and fields of lavender to tour and smell.

This was the field closest to the gift shop which is as far as we walked. :-)
Hydrangeas along the path and lavender in the field.

A view up the hill with the gift shop to the right.

My DH was trying to get FB working on his phone while I took photos.
In the distance is the city and the harbor.

We enjoyed lavender tea and lovely scones! Note the pretty flowers.

This looks down on more of the gardens below the shop deck;
with the harbor in distance.

This is one of the MANY beautiful flowers all about.

I loved this eucalyptus tree!

And this is a really great gnarled tree with arch.

We purchased some lavender scone mix and lavender sachets.
They smell sooooo good!

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky hosted by Alyce of At Home With Books. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

  1. Plants in Hawaii are so exotic looking (love that flower photo)! I'm not a big fan of flower-flavored things, but can appreciate the scents. :)

  2. My favorite photo is the view of the harbor -- the sky looks amazing. I agree with Alyce, I don't like to eat lavender so much, but love lavender soaps or oils or candles. Here's Mine

  6. It sounds and looks idyllic. We went to a lavender farm in Norfolk some years back, and the smell from the lavender in the fields was so soothing. My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/dgFw0
