Sunday Words of Encouragement July 17, 2011

Whew - what a move in service today. We had a family visiting for music and ministry. I don't know what they planned because we never really got to any program. There was already a sweet spirit in the service from our worship and the visiting minister allowed the spirit to continue to move in prayer and surrender.

Our Pastor just drove back from Oklahoma. He noted that he drove through heat and dry land until he hit Alabama and the rains. Our guest noted that we may be in or going through a dry place, but we need to hold on and press through. Then we will find that the rain is coming.

Once again I was searching for one song
but was led to this beautiful song!
(There is another (longer) version with
Let It Rain in the background that is awesome too.
I think the superimposed words are Portuguese.

A Verse for Today:
Isaiah 44:3 (New American Standard)
For I will pour out water on the thirsty land And streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring And My blessing on your descendants;

This morning we prayed for our national leaders and our nation. We also prayed for healing; but most of all we prayed for refreshing renewal of God's Spirit  in our hearts.
Have a blessed week!
