Sunday Words of Encouragement May 15, 2011

This morning was a wonderful celebration of communion - remembering Christ's sacrifice.
We also celebrated the graduating seniors so Pastor did his version of a commencement sermon for all of us:  Living a Life that is Worthy.  The sermon was based on 2 Cor 13: 5-14.
Pastor encouraged us to test ourselves to see if we were living to show Chirst in us. Do we show love, patience, compassion and courage as the Bibile exhorts us to?
Then we were encouraged also to: be cheerful (rejoice); keep in good repair (aim for perfection); think in harmony and be agreeable (be like minded). 2 Cor 13:11.
Finally he noted that we are not alone. We have saints who have gone before us as well as Jesus and the Holy Spirit to help direct us in our daily lives.

Thie song seems to fit what our lives should reflect,
whether we are new or old graduates:
our love and thanks to our Creator, Redeemer and Counselor.
A Verse for today:
2 Corinthians 13:14 (New International Version)
14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

I pray for success (as defined in relationship with God and man) for graduates everywhere.
