Product Description
Desperate for change, public defender Roz Wells decides moving into a new apartment is just what she needs to shake things up. But she'll get more than she bargained for when she starts dating the drop dead gorgeous boy next door, who just happens to be a shape-shifter...and quite possibly a criminal. Security salesman Konrad Wolfensen has made a living staging break-ins to spook people into buying his security system, but when he's accused of a much more serious crime, he'll have to enlist the help of his sexy new neighbor/girlfriend to keep his cute, slightly wild rear end out of jail.

Review: This author has a grand sense of humor.

Roz is a pretty rational person which is consistent with her lawyer profession.  She has moved into a new apartment that was vacated by her friend, Merry, who recently married.  She wants to surprise Merry, but Roz is the one in for surprises when she learns the “nature” of the other tenants in the building. Witches and ghosts are hard enough to accept but the building also is home to several shape-shifters, a werewolf, and even a vampire.

Roz meets her big, handsome neighbor as she is moving in and he is quick to help her.  Konrad is impressed with his lawyer neighbor but is interested to see what curves she is hiding under those baggy clothes. Roz may not see herself as attractive but Konrad thinks she is wonderfully lush.  Konrad wants to get to know her better but he hadn’t planned on having to call her to get him out of jail shortly after they met.

Roz makes quick work of getting the charges dismissed and then makes quick work of getting to know Konrad better. Strange thing is that when they kiss all of a sudden they can hear each other’s thoughts. That is exciting, fun and dangerous!  Konrad is thrilled as he knows it means he has found his mate. But how in the world is he supposed to explain to her that he is werewolf?

Roz and Konrad set out on a series of dates designed to try out new careers. They try ballroom dancing, bar tending, chef school and even parachuting. These are fun dates but always some disaster occurs.

Step by step Roz gets to know her neighbors and tries to help them with certain 'haunting' problems. Then Konrad gets arrested for an old robbery and she has to put her skills to work to defend him. But what will she do when she finds out he hasn't been honest with her about the very basics of who he is?

I enjoyed the several subplots that kept a lot of movement in this book.  It is a quick, light read and there is a lot of fun interaction between Roz and Konrad. The love making is romantic but very steamy and verbally graphic. I really did enjoy the humor of this author.  My only caution for readers is the sexual language. If that won't bother you then this is a book to get when you want a fun, quick read.

Thank you to Sourcebooks for this book to read and review.
