It's Monday! What are you Reading September 20, 2010?

This meme starts at One Person's Journey Through A World of Books!
What Are You Reading, is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week.  It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.

I finished three good books last week and started some more good books.
I posted two giveaways and one book review.
As busy as I was I didn't get to participate in BBAW and I only got to post the one review.
I need to get back to work on more overdue reviews now.  Also I have several Winner posts due that I'll get up on Monday night.

I did do better visiting early last week but then got swamped with closings I didn't get more visits done as I wanted.  I will try again this week.

These were last week's posts plus a Winner posts not listed.

    Finished Reading:

PBNever a Bride by Amelia Grey. A good historical romance. I will be posting the review this week. Read for Sourcebooks.
    Her name is on everyone’s lips . . .
Never a BrideWhen he left for America six years ago, the handsome Viscount Stonehurst never suspected that he would return home to England to find his lovely fiancé embroiled in the scandal of the decade. The woman he planned on making his wife has been kissing every man in London . . . except him!
But scandal doesn’t matter in search of the truth . . .Engaged and then abandoned, Mirabella Wittingham is determined to find the man who drove her cousin to suicide, even if it means ruining her reputation and disgracing herself in the process . . . When her plans go awry, Mirabella has no choice but to turn to her long-lost fiancé for help. But can she trust the man who deserted her so many years ago, or is he destined to fail her yet again?

Kindle:  Tangled in Time by Pauline Baird Jones.  I read this Sci Fi/Steampunk Romance Novella ARC for the author and I couldn't put it down. It was wonderful with great gentle humor! Watch for reviews of all three of the space books, author interview and giveaway coming up soon.
Colonel Carey (from The Key and Girl Gone Nova) takes a test "flight" through the Garradian time-space portal, but an unexpected impact lands him somewhere and some when. As he attempts to get to Area 51, he crosses paths with Miss Olivia Carstairs, who could be Mary Poppins' twin sister. Or maybe her cousin. Olivia's got a transmogrification machine powered by steam and something more, and a mouth he'd like to kiss like it was his job. Can he get them both to safety before the buzzard eats them or she shoots him with her derringer?
Audible:   Inside Out (Harlequin Teen) by Maria V. Snyder. This was interesting from start to finish and had some good twists.  I will be working on this review too.
    Product Description
Inside Out"Imagine every space in this room filled with people. Constantly being jostled and pushed. In the lower levels there is no quiet place. No peace. To a scrub, this room is paradise."
I drew a deep breath. I'd spoken more in one burst to this stranger whose room I'd invaded than anyone else in weeks. And with a single word he could alert the Pop Cops and send me to the Chomper. We stared at each other for a few heartbeats.
Before I could retreat he said, "My name's Riley Narelle Ashon. Any time you need peace, you're welcome to use my hideaway."
I'm Trella. I'm a scrub. A nobody. One of thousands who work the lower levels, keeping Inside clean for the Uppers. I've got one friend, do my job and try to avoid the Pop Cops. So what if I occasionally use the pipes to sneak around the Upper levels? The only neck at risk is my own...until I accidentally start a rebellion and become the go-to girl to lead a revolution.
Line Edits:  YAY the eTreasures new website it working!! Two new releases are posted with more to come soon.

PB: Renters Win, Home Owners Lose: Revealing the Biggest Scam in America by Tom Graneau. I am about half way and have found the history and statistical data interesting so far. Author Guest Blog to be posted on September 22 and my Review on September 23 for Pump up Your Book Promotion.
    Product Description:
Renters Win, Home Owners Lose: Revealing the Biggest Scam in AmericaHome ownership has been widely regarded as the "best financial investment" in the pursuit of wealth accumulation. Americans believe that the appreciated value of a home provides a great hedge against inflation, giving home owners an opportunity to make a profit when they sell the property. Today, two-thirds of American families own their homes. Nearly 80 percent of the 78 million baby boomers are homeowners. Many of them have bought and sold several homes. Yet, close to 90 percent of American families are broke. Nothing consumes more of our hard-earned money than "home ownership." What if this popular, "best investment" choice is nothing more than a dangerous Dream? Is home ownership simply a huge economic scam designed to KEEP buyers broke? Could homeowners be working to pay a mortgage that make their lenders rich while they stay poor? What if "home equity" is only an illusion? Could renters be in a BETTER financial position than those who own their home? RENTERS WIN, HOME OWNERS LOSE: REVEALING THE BIGGEST SCAM IN AMERICA is a bold approach in unraveling the long-term financial reality of home ownership in America. The book compares buying a home vs. renting and reveals that renters clearly have tangible, financial advantages over the majority of home owners. RENTERS CAN TRULY BE WINNERS! Tables and models are used throughout the book to poignantly demonstrate that most homeowners receive no more than a zero percent return on their investment, and many lose money in the deal. Renters Win, Home Owners Lose: Revealing the Biggest Scam in America will get you to rethink the way you view home ownership vs. renting. The book is a thought-provoking masterpiece.

In these times of upheaval, how can Dægan make peace with Mara's father and acquire the woman he treasures? Furthermore, can Mara move past her fears and find the noble man within the savage?
Audio:  The Postcard Killers by James Patterson and Lisa Marklund James. I was very happy to get this in the mail last week too. I was able to jump right into in on a two hour drive to and from an all day seminar on Friday. I am half way done and this is very gripping.  Good Patterson. Hachette Giveaway to be posted with the review when I finish this by the end of this week.
    Product Description
The Postcard KillersNYPD detective Jack Kanon is on a tour of Europe's most gorgeous cities. But the sights aren't what draw him--he sees each museum, each cathedral, and each restaurant through a killer's eyes.

Kanon's daughter, Kimmy, and her boyfriend were murdered while on vacation in Rome. Since then, young couples in Paris, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, and Stockholm have become victims of the same sadistic killers. Now Kanon teams up with the Swedish reporter, Dessie Larsson. Every killing is preceded by a postcard to the local newspaper--and Kanon and Larsson think they know where the next victims will be. With relentless logic and unstoppable action, THE POSTCARD KILLERS may be James Patterson's most vivid and compelling thriller yet.
