THE GREATEST PASSION
Lady Isobel Hume is an expert swordswoman who knows how to choose her battles. When the king asks her to wed a French nobleman to form a political alliance, she agrees. But that's before the devilishly charming Sir Stephen Carleton captures her heart-and tempts her to betray her betrothed, her king, and her country.
IS WORTH THE GREATEST PERIL

  1. I enjoy the action in this genre and need the entertainment gotten from it. I average 15-20 books a month about 1/3 are medieval. Edward60 following

  2. It's weird you should ask. I'm not sure what draws me to that era. Clothes are one, but that can't be why I'm drawn to the genre. Maybe because it's so different.

  5. What I like best about the medieval genre is that it takes me into a whole new era that I know nothing about and it fascinates me. I would LOVE to be entered in your draw. Thanks!

  7. The medieval genre always reminds me of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. I just love reading those stories; the men were so brave.

  8. Thanks for featuring my book! What I love about writing in the medieval period--other than the handsome knights--is that it lends itself so well to adventurous, high-stakes tales with themes of loyalty and honor.

  13. Hi Martha,

I love the medieval genre because knights are, in a lot of ways, a lot like cowboys--and you know how I feel about cowboys. I think Deborah Macgillivray was the one who brought this up on a discussion we were having, and after that, it just "clicked"--medieval romance and historical western romance are my two favorite genres and they have a lot in common. And I love Margaret Mallory's books. She really has a way of making you feel like you are inside the character's heads, and I like that.

  14. I like it for several reasons. The period dress, the heroic feats, history (lessons), and so much more... Plus, it's a world away from my everyday life... weeshenanigans (at) gmail (dot) com
