A BookTrib Valentine - Giveaway of Much Ado About Loving

I am sharing this News Flash, and chance to win a book about dating and love, from BookTrib:
As BookTrib’s Valentine to you, we are serving up a bibliophile’s delight on February 13 at 2 p.m. ET!

Jack Murnighan and Maura Kelly will be chatting LIVE about their book, MUCH ADO ABOUT LOVING: What Our Favorite Novels Can Teach You About Date Expectations, Not So-Great Gatsbys, and Love in the Time of Internet Personals.

USA Today called MUCH ADO ABOUT LOVING “a treat for any book lover, happily mated, or cheerfully single.”

MUCH ADO ABOUT LOVING is a series of accessible and funny essays that are equal parts dating advice and lit crit. During our chat, the authors will touch upon the timeless lessons and insights they’ve found in the world’s most beloved novels, touching on such conundrums as:
©       Why do men talk so much, and why do women put up with it? (Infinite Jest)
©       Will too much emailing before a first date work against you? (Love in the Time of Cholera)
©       Should you cross the political aisle for love? (Howards End)
©       Is it ever smart to get back together with an ex? (Remembrance of Things Passed)
©       How can you deal with a mother-in-law who’s screwing up your relationship? (Sons and Lovers)

What’s more—10 lucky winners will receive their very own copy of the book!

Sourcebooks Celebrates the Royal Wedding!

This News Flash is in from Sourcebooks!
If you haven’t already checked out the Sourcebooks British Babes Book Brigade Facebook Page (where you can participate in giveaways and interact with authors like Elizabeth Chadwick, Jill Mansell, Helen Hollick, Sarah Bower and Phillipa Ashley and more…) then you should before next week because the page is about to go royally mad!!
The royal wedding is only a week away and we are going to be celebrating all next week. Starting Monday we will be doing a giveaway every day until the big celebration on Friday. But these are no ordinary giveaways – these are royal wedding prize packs!

3 winners will be randomly picked each day:

- The 1st place winner will get a William & Kate wedding memento (it is top secret for now (just like Kate’s dress J) but check the page out on Monday to find out – oh and they are all different so there will be a different memento each day).  Along with that they also get their choice of three books from any of our British Book Babes.

- The 2nd  place winner will have their choice of any two books from any of our British Book Babes.

- The 3rd  place winner will have their choice of one book from any of our British Book Babes.

MARTHA'S BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!! I'm now a Publisher!

Well this announcement really needed a big flash!!
Since late December I've made a few references to a "new project!"
Now my "team" and I are bursting so we decided to go ahead and announce even though the website isn't 100% yet!

Here is my news!
As of January 1 this year I became a publisher!
I purchased eTreasures Publishing!  We have 31 authors with 33 books!
Our website is still under construction with the books and author pages being added today and tomorrow!
But check it out here!

It is hard to appreciate the changes we are making without seeing the orignial site so here is a snapshot of an author page from the old site:

The previous owner had major health issues and was not able to actively grow the company over the past year and a half!  Now we are ready to shoot forward!

Please visit our new blog at http://etreasurespublishing.blogspot.com/ to see some of our opening plans and join in the celebration!!

I do plan to continue with my review site here although I will no longer be doing reviews for some of the sites and publishers as it is sometimes viewed as a conflict or that the review will be more critical. It will be interesting to see if my review eye does change!!

Now that the big push to get things ready is ALMOST behind me I hopefully will get all caught up - or mostly - on the reviews I have to complete!

The poll is on the left side when you go to the site. Why not pop over and vote for your favorite cover!  Voting ends October 3!

Scrolliong down I saw that the July winner of the Most Eye Catching Cover was Kiss of Life by Brian Porter! Congratulations Brian!
