Sharing Beyond Books #252 Comment Giveaway May 14, 2016

Hello again and Welcome to Sharing Beyond Books, SBB!
My work week was busy. We had a lovely day with family today with a "gender reveal" party for our daughter-in-law. We are having fraternal grandchildren - a boy and a girl!! :-)

Thanks to everyone who commented last week and "Welcome" to some new visitors.

 All eighteen of us agree that it is not appropriate for an author to ask a reviewer for a rating above a certain point. Only a few had this type of experience. Several reviewers had tour leaders ask them not to post a negative review during the tour and that was acceptable.

~~~~~
The Winner from SBB #251 comments is: #16 Mariska who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the Updated ARC/Review titles or (not yet updated) Love titles - all linked near the end of the post. [I'm hoping to update the book choices - maybe the beginning of next year, lol.] Please let me know your choice by completing the WINNER FORM.
WEEK #252
(One Question.)
Nikki asks: Do you have any celebrity crushes? Please share a few. And, have you ever noticed some similarities between those crushes??
I have never been much of a one for crushes. Although years ago I really liked Kevin Costner (when we were both a bit younger - ha ha). There have been a couple of foreign actors I liked although I had to look up their names so I doubt that would qualify as a crush: Gerard Butler and Viggo Mortensen from LOTR.
Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! The supply of questions is dwindling so share some if you think of any -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify to use.
Your turn to share:
Nikki asks: Do you have any celebrity crushes? Please share a few. And, have you ever noticed some similarities between those crushes??
SBB Comment Winners can choose a selection from the Valentine and "Love" books or the February 2015 Newly Updated ARC/Review List. (My daughter pulled several of the Christmas titles to give with gift bags we made up for the nursing homes. One of these days I will get together a new box of Christmas titles.)
SBB Rules:
a) Must be a follower.
b) Share a comment on the question above.
Open internationally and an international winner may get a smaller book or a $5.00 GC if I decide the mailing is too much.
I will pick a Comment winner from all comments made through Saturday May 21, 2016 at 5 PM central.
  1. I don't currently have any celebrity crushes -- the ones I have had I feel were just a way to fill the void of not being in a relationship. I've found that since I've been in a committed relationship, I don't randomly find myself fantasizing about actors or any famous people.
  2. I do think it's the characters rather than the actor I crush on. I do like the strong, yet sensitive type.
  5. I stop crushing on celebrities in my twenties when I realized they are no more special than a regular guy.
    Congrats to Mariska!
  6. I'm not a big fan of actors. The only one I like is Josh Holloway, he is the actor from LOST and the new show Colony. He is really cute.
  7. Congrats, Mariska!
    Viggo Mortensen, my one and only crush :) I don't know what is it about this man bad he just does it for me.
  8. Congrats to the winners. And yay me! It's my question!
    I TOTALLY have crushes! Quite a few I'm afraid. But I seem to have a certain type. Take for example some of my faves (and have been for a while now so I'm not being flaky) Matt Bomer and Henry Cavill. If you've never laid eyes on these guys, please, Google now! Strangely they have very similar features, especially at certain angles, which makes me believe that I do admire certain features.
    Do share yours! Am always curious to know more!
  9. More admiration than a crush. Richard Armitage because of THAT kissing scene in BBCs North and South. What I really like about him is what a genuine person he seems to be and his sense of humor. Of course I love his voice too.
  10. My favorites are Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Joe Manganiello, and Bradley Cooper.
  11. Just went to a Garth Brooks concert and I think he is pretty neat!
  12. Colin Firth (P&P) and Ciaran Hinds (Persuasion)
  13. Congrats Mariska. When I was younger many years ago I had the biggest crush as well as admiration on the young Gregory Peck from To Kill A Mockngbird. Also in the 60's I had a crush on Clint Walker from a TV show called Cheyenne. The both had dark hair and were big men. Esprecially Clint Walker.
