Sharing Beyond Books #126 Comment Giveaway 11/16/13

Hello again on Saturday night and Welcome to SBB, Sharing Beyond Books.

I hope everyone is enjoying November. I had a busy week and am tired tonight.

The group is pretty well split with 10 who are in home towns and 10 who have moved around from state to state or even country to country. Sarah moved at least 11 times and Rita has lived in three different countries.

I was also surprised that few of you keep lists of your wins. Many of you used to keep lists and many keep track to make sure you get the book wins. You sort of have to have some list or folder if you are going to track. :-)

Thank you to all who shared last week.

The Winner from SBB #125 comments is: #7 Ricki who can make a GC choice if international or book choice from the ARC/Review titles, Christmas titles or Love titles - all linked near the end of the post.  Please let me know your choice by completing the (new) WINNER FORM.

WEEK #126

Q1. Brooke asks: Do you read just one book at a time or more than one??
A: I am a multi-book reader. I almost always have three going at a time: Print, Audio and Kindle. I try to mix genres but that doesn't always happen. It can be especially confusing to be reading two mysteries or romantic suspense at the same time. :-).
I don't read and listen at the same time.

Q2. My non-bookish Question this week: Would you consider yourself a good patient or not -- not being demanding, cranky or some other not so nice reaction??
A: I don't get sick very often. However, now that I am recovering from surgery I find that I can be cranky if really tired. And clearly I don't rest enough. That is really hard for me to do even if it could give more reading time. So I would say I am not such a bad patient for others in my family but maybe not such a good patient for allowing healing.
I'm not THAT bad!

Thanks to those who are sending in Questions. DON'T BE SHY! Surely everyone has a Q or two you'd like to ask. Input suggestions in this Suggested Question Form. At the end of each month I draw from the suggestions I used during the month and that person will get a book choice or GC. I thank everyone for submitting questions. Thanks for sending in questions! We are getting low on questions so hopefully you will send more in -- even if they are duplicates I'll weed through or try to modify to use.

Your turn to share:

Q1. Brooke asks: Do you read just one book at a time or more than one??

Q2. My non-bookish Question this week: Would you consider yourself a good patient or not -- not being demanding, cranky or some other not so nice reaction??

  1. 1) i can only read one book at a time ( and worse if review must be written i need to do it before starting something else) i've tried reading 2 books and not to mix them pick oen in french and one in english but it didn't work i'm too concentrate on what i'm doing so i get immersed in the book and i don't want to be in 2different world at once

    2) for having quite a bad health i think you can say i'm a calm patient however as soon as i'm ill i get really emotional so i could cry for nothing ( ex:the character in my book is sad^^;;)the oly thing is that i need to be reminded to take my medecine etc not that i don't have any memory but i can't take care of me....something more important is always coming and i put muself after

my mother just had to go in emergency because she couldn't move her leg at all and it was really painful so i will be busy taking care of everthing ( i don't mind at all, family first) but teh result yesterday i completely forgotten my own medecine
so i need to do better ( but right now she is teh priority)

  3. 1. I usually read one book at a time but sometimes I might read 2 - an ebook & a printed one; if I happen to need to take a book with me to the doctors or something.
    2. I "think" I'm a good patient & try not to bother the rest of my family.

  4. I read 2 books at a time but never more than that.

I consider myself to be a good patient. Much better and less crankier than my brothers ;)

  11. I usually have 2 books on the go, one audio, and one book.

I'm a good patient sometimes, and other times not so much. It depends on why I need to be a patient.

  12. 1. I only ever read one book at a time. I want to enjoy it fully. I think I would find it confusing to read more then one, especially of the same genre.

    2. I am a good patient. Mostly because when I am unwell I just crawl into bed & emerge when I feel better.

My Mother does the whole "dying swan" act. Oscar winning performances every time.

  17. I. I usually read just one at a time but will occasionally have two going...one I'm listening to and one I'm actually reading.

    2. I think I'm a pretty good patient although it is very rare that I am the patient.

  18. Q1. Usually one at a time, unless I get bored with a book or am not in a mood for that genre, then I start a new one. So one, max two books at a time. Unless it's a manga then three? But just for a few hours. Lol

Q2. Good patient. Unless others are being unreasonable? Then I'll be pouty. Haha...
