Mailbox Monday October 8, 2012

Welcome to Mailbox Monday.
FOR OCTOBER: the Mailbox Monday Tour host is (updated) Mailbox Monday!

Mailbox Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week and explore great book blogs.  This Meme started with Marcia at A Girl and Her Books (fka The Printed Page) but is now hosted at Mailbox Monday and through various blog hosts.

Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

I added some giveaway books and free books this week. How about you?

Review Titles

I accepted and requested a few new titles this week but didn't receive any yet.

Wins

No new book wins received last week although I should have one coming in this week.

Purchased
I did purchase a box of books at a yard sale on Saturday - 16 books for $5.00.  I forgot to get a picture but there are some good titles. :-)  Some are for me and some for my Friday Pick Giveaways.
One was the paper back copy of Everybody Loved Roger Harden which I am reading this week for Ladies' Book Club. Since we have the Anthology, Everybody's Suspect in Georgia, I will give the paperback away at my review post.

Free

I received as a free gift from the author:
Double Trouble by Betty Sullivan
Check the author's website for links to free downloads of the first and second titles.

{This reminded me that I want to read the first book in the series, The Enemy Stalks, so I will add that to my November review list as my Won book and Just For Fun read.}

I picked up some free titles on Kindle again.

  7. Hi Martha,

Thanks for the tip about 'Double Trouble', I really liked the sound of this one, so I stopped by Betty's site and took the free download option to my PC.

I do hope that I don't need to read book one to get the gist of who's who and what is going on, but as we are now up to book 14 in the series, I guess I shall have plenty of time to catch up!

I hope that you enjoy all of your bargain books, that must be the deal of the year!
